I've had two of those boards the one you have, and the weekend at Louie's graphics shape of that board. The nose is super good for nolie tricks, in my opinion. I did remeasure them they were both 8 and 3/8 though that's weird that yours came in at 9:00. Football eggs are the only things I skate from now on.

If you don't think it's stupid then it isn't! You dressed up, and put in the extra effort for your channel. I think it's cool as shit! Keep up doing what you're doing, and thanks for your content. I've learned so much from it, and that's your aim, so thanks again. I hope to see more! My first "two-tail"; which is what they called the first decks with a nose and tail, was a New School - Tom Boyle, and it was shaped just like this deck. Unfortunately it was about an 8.5 or 9 in the middle and I was 10 years old, so I can't give you an accurate assessment of the deck. It also had 39mm wheels on it too. That's a lot of board to be throwing and flicking around for a 80 lb.10 year old, the wheels were basically just urethane bearing covers being that small. It was my first "Christmas Complete", and I did learn how to do (frontside/backside) shuvits, kickflips, mannuals, and 180s on it even though it was that wide.

Some of Geoff Rowley's board company, Free Dome, have the torpedo shape to them, it's super weird going back to a popsicle after skating them though, legit feels like the nose is huge.

So basically it’s the classic football shape from the 90’s. They were 9”+ in the middle and tapered down at the nose and tail, But back then no rails and 38-40mm wheels 😆

Cool. Maybe I missed it in the video, but was this setup noticeably heavier? Maybe you were not able to do some usual flip tricks or so. I remember trying an 8.5 after skating 8.125 and was completely unable to do treflips, and as soon as I moved back to 8.3 it felt just right. Also it really interesting if deck rails help on smiths/feebles (on ledges also). Keep on the good work!

Def worth trying out if you ask me. Keep up the good vids.

Put double-sided adhesive tap, the foam kind, on under your rails before screwing them in, and they'll never rattle. You won't lose screws from the rattling; which causes them to slowly loosen.

I’ve been curious about this shape for a while. Sweet to see you’re trying it out! I have a few remarks/questions. Everything that I’ve seen said it’s actually a shorter deck 31.6 with a shorter wheelbase 14.2. I also thought at the widest it’s 8.375 and is tapered and rides more like an 8.25 which would explain why deedz rides AF1-44’s (8.25 axle) all that is quite different from what you said with it being longer and 9.0 at the widest point. Just curious to what the exact specs are🤙🏼

i recently bought one of these boards online and it is definitely smaller than described here. i actually returned to this vid to double check, and mine had the same "8.375" sticker as the one shown here. at the widest point this deck is MAYBE 8.5, and if that's the size you normally ride (like me) it's going to feel small. i do think this tail is going to be good for scoop tricks though once im used to it.

It's certainly a unique shape that's fo' sho! I never thought it would be shaped more like that in the center, seems to be an almost ode to the mid 90s before the true Popsicle shape that we all know today became. As for the rails, I myself never really had any noise issues with them, if anything the formula 4s and the bearings I have make the worst sounds! It's like a Stuka siren when I use them.

@@localjoe lol one tip I recommend is using double sided tape (like super glue tape) to stick the rails on before screwing them in. This keeps them from rattling even if the screws mess up over time and it keeps them from moving while you are trying to install. Also you can use a small drill bit to pre drill your holes before screwing them in.
