JM AF bodyboarding will rock the body around a bit, but surfing is far worse for the body long term. It creates some nasty muscle imbalances that throw every joint in the body out of alignment. In fact id say its one of the worst sports as far as imbalances go. As a surfer will will eventually have problems with your joints and even spine. It can actually give you scoliosis over time. Both Kelly Slater and Mick Fanning have it.

Willy POV awe willy thanks my first shorebreak ever... Well kinda it starts like a normal wave for like 3 seconds then just becomes white water then when u shallow it's like shorebreak. And it's a reefish rocky spot and I was doing power rolls 😂 I landed smack bang with my back on a sharp rock sticking out of the water and got scratched up by a the other rocks. (When I wiped out and my back just made a horrible sound and felt POPPED). Was overconfident after landing 2 rolls 😂 even though it's was 2-4 I got pounded.. Yet I barely wipeout in 6 ft swell this new place Pounded me.. sorry for the long comment enjoyed my story 😂

i was watching some of ur previous vids and it looks like you need to stall more on some waves going deep isnt the right option but stalling can help u make those barrels, there was plenty of barrels u have missed because u didnt stall and going too fast

Amazing how much faster a surfboard is vs body board How come they haven't made fiberglass bodyboard., like a spoon type board George greenough used to ride....super thin but in hollow surf he would fly near same speed as surfer......body boards just haven't changed much since OG morey boogie board, which I learned on btw....i remember the redline morey board in late 70 early 80

I think it's because boards need some flexibility. A harder board would be fast, but would sacrifice flex needed for hard bottom turns and maneuvers. Not that I can do any of that anyway, but that's perhaps why decent bodyboarders and pros want some flex in their boards!
