We struggle with turning this Osborne-- the "turning knob" is loose and easily damaged, so we used it very gingerly...

On the forest service videos, they are adamant do not use the site to turn the ring! Lol

Our Osbornes are old and don't have knobs on both sides, so we do the best we can....
