Just wow Sean! Been seeing your website in search results and just got a taste of how good your content is. Thank you for the foundational advice on pitching. I'm fairly new to this and can't express how grateful I am to learn these things. I'm now superconfident that I'll make it in guest posting because of your content. And I just realized how to build on past client relationships. Thank you so much!

Amazing! I have struggled with the "connecting" with the person or building a relationship with them first. Thank you for this funny yet informative video!

It’s rare to find content that both entertains and educates so effectively. I gained so much valuable insight from this video as well as many chuckles. It’s good to know that being genuine and considerate goes a long way while pitching. I’ve been SO nervous about sending my first pitch, but I feel much more confident after watching this video. I will be sure to establish a relationship with the person I am pitching to by making it clear that I respect and value their work. I will also be modest and considerate while interacting with this person so I do not appear needy or arrogant. Thank you for all you do. I’ve been a big fan and follower of your channel and blog for almost a year now.

Good lord, this was hilarious! Can't believe you sift through a pile of those kinds of emails every day. I am just getting started as a copywriter, and have been worried about writing bad pitches...but after seeing all these, I think I'm gonna be alright. 😂👍🏽

It's such a double edged sword. Obviously I'm a pretty positive guy, but generally it's the negative videos that seem to do better on KZbin. So need to find a way to do them, while also keeping it positive...if that makes sense ha

Thank you for the video. It actually made me feel better about the few pitches I have written. I am just getting started and I still feel like I don't know what I am doing. I will be sure to follow your pointers and continue to improve.

Hi Sean, thank you for such MEANINGFUL content and with a sense of humor, and logic to boot...such a rare combo! I have been looking for a while for clean, clear cut information with a candid message...have you looked at other training videos lately, it is no wonder you stand out in the crowd! It is so refreshing to listen to someone who is so candid. I have watched your other videos but this one on the Worst Freelance Pitches, is wonderfully blunt! Listening to you break down the pitches you have endured, was not only educational but great fun. You are making a world of better freelancers, one video at a time! Thank you!

Loving the video 😍. All these bad pitches sounded like something I would do. Have you thought about doing videos using the unsightly emails? Or you could print them out and use them as a training tool for members and non-members. Enjoy your awesomeness and stay safe.

Thank you for yet another informative and entertaining video. I am just starting out as a freelancer, and honestly, the thought of sending a bad pitch is terrifying. I understand your frustration--I've dealt with my fair share of spam--but what I really appreciate is that you take your frustration and use it to create a tool for those of us who are making a legitimate effort. I have wasted too much time watching crappy KZbin videos that don't say anything except, "be confident," and "buy this product," and "take my advice...because I said so." As always, even when you're triggered, your videos are a breath of fresh air. Cheers!

Just found your KZbin channel yesterday (and subscribed). I received the same pitch on my blog from Sarah and her Paleo Instapot :) I assumed it was a bot and didn't even respond. She drooled over my recipe, too. Must have been the one I posted about how not to fry an egg. Haha.

Now I want an old fashion...dang it. And I'm glad you included the ingredients because you didn't show mixing, but I digress. Thanks for sharing this video. It's always good to know what NOT to do. To be honest, when sending out emails and LOI we all should know better! It's still funny to me that common sense isn't common. And, you were not at all upset, I was looking forward to seeing that side of Sean. But, well-done video as always!

I do bookkeeping and it is so funny! I will post in a group that I am looking for a client for bookkeeping. I will suddenly get a bunch of DM's asking if I have an overflow of clients I would be willing to refer to them? Didn't I just say I don't have any clients and need one? Did they read the post? Also, they post under the comments that if I have work for them, they would appreciate the referral. I don't think people READ! Apparently, they don't listen either! LOL! Totally identify with you!

I specialize in many things including but not limited to: agriculture, real estate, ice cream trucking, coloring books, basketball, the wall street and ant cage fighting. While I was drooling about your recipes on geographicalrebels a funny thought came to my mind, which is that you probably have not changed your truck tires in a while so I would be more than happy if you bought them from me. Ha I'm cool with a brandied cocktail cherry as a garnish. But if its the sickly sweet maraschino cherries or if there is ANY muddling going on? Big no no. This was my go to "cheapish" bourbon of Buffalo Trace.
