This song has always intrigued me , because the story is so sad in the Scottish version and it yet it is happy in the Irish version (Red Is The Rose ) . I don't know if I can recall another song that is like this ? Thanks Chris , as usual another good song . I usually play this one with a G melody maker harmonica , why ? I don't know ! but it sounds good .
