I was in Drymen when I was 15! With family. Could see the loch from the Inn’s front door! Thank you!

wow ! brings back memories of studying in my dorm room at Université Laval, here in Québec City, around the end of the 1980s-beginning of the 1990s... Fish-era Marillion had a song called « Margaret » which was based on this piece... first time i hear the original though... great rendition of a very nice song ! i'm listening to a live version of « Margaret » as i type this... your version is much closer to my current tastes than the Marillion jam... it gets the second listening... thanks for the time travelling services ! 🙏 😉

Love this!! Wow. Before Loch Lomond, I first got to know "Red is the Rose", an Irish standard that has the same melody. So this one tune is packed full of history.

@@aaronenglishmusic interesting... sounds like a lode that's worthy of more researching... very likely part of my musical genetics...

🌵Had to lookup the history on this song, I've always been curious about the story behind it. Well done with the Tigers t-shirt too, Aaron!

Thanks AJ! I've had that shirt since I was 13. I wanted to take my dad's memory along with me on tour. :)
