That's what the game wants you to think. His Bad Ending 2 is the most popular one for obvious reasons. But his other Bad Endings make my point clear. Jumin is a romantic man, he acted like his true self when you first meet him in his penthouse. Making you pancakes, seducing you with kind words and specially putting you to sleep while reading a book ( can this get any more romantic and sexy ? ). When he gives you that cynical kiss and look at Sarah is when he starts to test you. To see if you are not interested simply in his good looks and money. If you are, you get the Bad Ending 2. There's more, but the game's bad writing doesn't make his Route has this sense. He still has the best Route tho.

***** His demons and tangled ball of threads is all the futility that sorrounds him, the gold diggers, his father's loneliness and Elizabeth's insufficiency in comprehending him. It has nothing to do with his " obsessiveness ". MC was in love with Jumin since the 5th day. What happens is, she wants to show him that she doesn't love him for his wealth and simply good looks. With time, Jumin starts to trust MC and consider her worthy. If you act like a bitch, he makes fun of you. If you act obsessive towards him, he treats you like a dog. If you don't trust him, you get killed... in both different ways.

Jumin is a very misunderstood character. He's very sheltered and represses his emotions so when he firsts starts letting them out, he tends to come off very intimidating and possessive, despite having good intentions. If you feed and encourage the wrong kind of responses, Jumin's darker emotions will seep out and eventually envelope him. Poor baby. ;-; Jumin's kind of a giant child.
