I feel like the locked crates in Lockdown Protocol should have had AMMO in them, for all the empty guns. It would at least make sense to find an empty gun, but could find ammo for it mid game, so that you can't start murdering right away.

I think I get what they were trying to do with the crates, since it used to be that everyone always was bum rushing the weapons and the first to get them had larger upper hand. That said, I think the crates need some tweaking so they feel more rewarding, either decrease the timer or the chance of them being empty. Alternatively they could put the really good weapons in crates, but spread other weapons around on the map. Having crates be time-based makes it so rounds have to fall within a certain minimum time window if you want to actually use the crates. In terms of the other parts of the update, I do like most of the map changes to add more hiding spots and that the orange jumpsuit is actually orange and not mostly black, but with customization to add it back. Its also worth mentioning in the patch notes, the devs decreased the amount of ammo in guns that spawn outside crates and decrease the damage of guns (especially over long distances), which is why they had trouble securing kills sometimes.

This update for Lockdown Protocol is a serious letdown. I understand the point of putting the weapons in crates, but making some of the crates contain nothing or empty weapons is a bit too much. At this point the game might as well not have weapons at all and just have the dissidents only winning by hiding stuff
