Brilliant jig for reference points. I wondered why you were brushing on paint but thought it might be rust treatment POR15 is great stuff, as long as you don't mind paint on your hands for weeks after. Hope you get registration sorted.

Late to the table, but glad to have a seat anyway. Rebuilding a clutch on 1963 Vespa VBB-2T. Going to have to break it down again, it is a grabber. Enjoy these as much as your work on The Repair shop.

I am seriously viewing your videos in the wrong order... I teach computers at a college in the US and when I need a break from grading I invest a few minutes to watch one of your uploads. I discovered the Repair shop a year ago during lockdown, and the KZbin algorithms brought me to your site. Keep up the great work, and thanks for the enlightening distractions

Enjoyable video Dom. Nice to see a Landy and old BSA (?) in the background too as a ex JLR employee and a biker! I have only ridden the modern Vespa 300s with the four stroke engines, so it was good to see another classic scooter been saved. The 1970's models get overlooked I suppose when compared to the iconic 60's stuff with all the mod associations. I don't 'do' Instagram' so great to see you starting a KZbin channel. I really enjoy seeing your work on the Repair Shop too obviously and really appreciate how you try to conserve as well as restore an item

Very nice, looking forward to more. Might I share a tip? I keep a spray bottle in my garage with water and dish soap in it. In addition to warming rubber bits spray a bit of soapy water on to act as lubricant. Works great and evaporates so doesn't leave any nasty residue or adversely affect the rubber.

Hey Dom! Fantastic that I found you and really cool that you're doing an old Vespa. I'm also doing an old Honda MT250 so bike rebuilds are great to watch and learn. Another watcher from The Repair Shop👍 When you were putting on the rubber boots - if you're stuck without a heat gun you can also boil a kettle and then pour the hot water over the rubber, let sit for a minute and it will soften them right up. 🙂

@@DominicChineas Yes fella. Got as far as the Landie delivery the other day. I always loved those IIa and would have loved a SWB 7 seater with the safari roof when I was in my late teen, or a 109 panelled hardtop to convert into a go anywhere camper! There are some still some Dormobile drawings for a roof and folding seat/bed online (and there seems to be an active dormobile website even! dormobile.co.uk). It would almost be a shame to loose that safari roof though. Any I’m off to watch a few more.
