Something still tells me that's not the end of Dodge/Gabe and Eden. Eden could easily be brought back as an echo after dying. For Dodge/Gabe, we never saw it actually die.

Gabe doesn't exist from beginning. He is new to Matheson and dodge formed into Gabe using identity key. Dodge never die until trap into well house. So, my guess, Gabe would be available in season 3

My only issue with the show is that it pivots from a horror story to a teen drama. I don't think it does right by the original content because once you watch the show and go research the original, you get traumatized by how different the 2 are.

I loved season 2 but the ending was not quite great. I mean in the whole season Gabe was great portrait of a villain. But in the end when Eden got herself killed by that gideon guy. I mean that the keys weren't even made at that time (1700s) so how did he remember to take the key out of the door when leaving the well house.

Hi Tigerlilly, Gabe has been a demon from the very first time we saw him on screen. Using the identity key can only change your looks/features into a person that never existed. So the demon created the image of dodge & gabe to fuel it's intended purpose. Lucas became its real face when it latched onto his soul and took over his body. So that's why the demon could change from all 3 (Lucas, gabe & dodge) Hope this helped. :)

@Danielle Shae so basically Gabe character never existed from the start ? I thoght this character was real. I mean i thought he was also a student in their academy. But then if he was not real or a never existed character, how he was nice, normal, and nerdy back then before the first time he and his gang went to the sea cave ? Eden turned evil , i got it. That because she got striked by the whispering stone that shot out from the opening in the cave. So that's why i kept wandering when did Gabe turn into evil ? Well maybe that's the answer. Lucas is the echo that dodge is attached to it. An echo is a memory of a person that died created in the well house. An Echo is not a real human and can not die, but if an echo passes through the door of the well house it wil be vanished. Dodge is the demon that came out of the portal.

Hi! So he didn’t turn into Lucas because he is Lucas. Remember when Ellie brought him back with the echo key? Well she brought back Lucas, but the demon was still attached to him. Lucas turned into gabe and well lady. But dodge/ Lucas is his original form. Also dodge is the name Ellie gave Lucas.

In both the comics and TV show, Dodge changes genders as a means of disguise from the Lockes through the use of a magic key. In the comics it was the gender key and in the Netflix show it was the identity key.
