Mr Lee as a south African I'm proud that there are people like you who puts our lands heritage above money,and fights and stands your ground by not allowing these huge global, conglomerates,who entice and offer huge amounts of money to buy the rights to land just to turn around and completely decimate that land for profit,you are 100% correct, once the land is gone its gone forever, and once these open ground mines have completely stripped the land of all its resources they simply move on to the next location leaving behind complete destruction and devastation, they are like locusts, Well done Mr Lee,if only more people where like you,putting heritage and values above greed and riches

golf course is on the edge of town, if they they don't stop it at the golf course the town is next. the majority of fire fighters in australia are volunteers.

If you are talking about the mining interest type "capitalistic bastards," then we have a point of agreement. However, some of the "capitalistic bastards" provide us quality food, clothing, iPhones, vehicles, entertainment, & jobs. Painting everyone with a broad brush ignores the fact we all need to eat & live.
