Locked On Tigers POSTCAST: Detroit Tigers BEAT LA Angels To Avoid Sweep | Malloy, Kelly Both Homer

Detroit Tigers earned a victory over the Los Angeles Angels at Angel Stadium in Anaheim to salvage one game of the four game series. Detroit Tigers took a quick lead in the first inning with a sacrifice fly by Mark Canha, bringing home Andy Ibanez. Detroit Tigers Offense exploded in the fourth inning with Gio Urshela grounding out to score Carson Kelly, followed by Justyn-Henry Malloy hitting an inside-the-park home run that drove in two more runs, including Wenceel Perez. Carson Kelly added to the lead, smashing a three-run home run in the fifth inning to stretch the Tigers' lead to 7-6. Starting pitcher Casey Mize held the Angels scoreless through 5.1 innings, but left the game with a potential lower body injury after chasing a pop up. Tigers bullpen allowed 5 runs in the bottom of the ninth as the Angels got as close as one run before Tyler Holton got the final out to earn the 7-6 win.

I keep saying when one bullpen guy is doing good, keep him in because the next guy probably won't be so good. Especially if it's Miller. He constantly gives up hard contact & long fly balls, even if they don't go out.
