JM has a soft spot for ex felons which is understandable but it definitely taints his viewpoint and the advice he gives at times. Celebrating this woman for throwing a year of her life away to fall in love with a jailbird, who then got out and LEFT HER....is insane.

You are right. I couldn't believe JM was making the case justifying the necessity for the man going back to hang out with the same crew and likely doing the same things that sent him to prison. She told the defendant in the end that she loved him because JM gave her hope when he said: "Stop It, and get back.". The Judge might have been hoping that the defendant would listen, stop cheating and get back together but the defendant is not into her. The good thing is that she now knows for sure she must walk away from him. As for JM, he has to realize that the defendant is not as wise as him in wanting to stop cheating and to be a better person.

I think the judge is a little wrong on this one. The best way to protect yourself from people who are living a destructive life is to stay away from them. Why put yourself in the position where you have to always be on guard from those around you. That sounds stressful to me. Don't be around people actively engaging in drug activity because you know you are liable to be a victim of their uncontrolled desire to remain high. They can't control themselves a lot of the time that's just what drugs do the people. This guy wasn't on drugs but he still ended up being a bum because he could not treat such a wonderful, beautiful and intelligent woman with the respect she deserved. His loss her gain. I hope she sticks to her motto. Stay away from the people living that life.

I have a nephew who’s in prison. For many years he’s been trying to hook me up with various inmates. He assumed that because I’m single that I’d be interested. I’m single and alone but I’m not desperate or lonely. Plus I’ve had several boyfriends since he’s been locked up. I’m guessing that because I’ve never told him my personal life that he thinks that I’m just sitting around twiddling my thumbs waiting for a man. As judge Judy has said, women need to stop being desperate.
