My friend got busted with 2 kilo of heroin and a kilo of weed in his hotel room in Bangkok of all places in about 2000-1 with his girlfriend..They both were locked up facing 30 years in a Thai prison and they managed to wangle bail somehow after 3 months and obviously with no passport they made a run for it to Cambodia and went to the British embassy where they managed to get an English passport each and flew to London..Man they were so lucky, I had been there in 1995 and smoked out there but cannot believe they were stupid enough to buy so much with it been dirt cheap anyway..They were going to make a film of it he met the guy who directed train spotting, forget his name but it fell through and never came off..They both in there 50s now and living a happy life in Leeds, but it could have been so different…Take care people 💟

One of the most shocking interviews I have ever seen, fair play to Pete for taking it on, it is a story that needed to be told.... As for Billy wanting to go back to Thailand and be some sort of mentor, well that will never happen....He freely admitted he pulled the wool over the police's eyes with his stash up his back passage....He won't be here today if that went pear shaped....He thinks that going to prison is something to be proud off, well I think it's something to be ashamed of....As for his Amazon book, well at least he can live off that and not be a burden to the state ....

Hurricane winds can carry coconuts inland, witnessed most recently during hurricane Iselle 2014 on Big Island. They took growth by themselves. Enormous boulders tossed up on the shoreline from the ocean, Too, during that storm. Tsunami can carry coconuts far inland, too As happened in Hilo in 1960. Cocos falling from a tree may roll away and grow up by themselves. Just sayin’ brah. Aloha

@@joe3394 Okay. I stand corrected. Though I think my statement is still virtually correct, if not literally correct. I've seen coconuts flying horizontally in typhoons, and I've seen a police boat washed hundreds of meters inland in Khao Lak. But farther than a few hundred meters from the high tide mark? Hmmmmmm. I would still bet that a coconut palm growing miles inland, or on the top of a hill, was planted there by a human.

I knew this would be a good one. I saw his interview with the two English fellah's a couple of years ago. Interesting man well done getting sober Billy. Two books I can personally recommend about being locked up in Thailand are. Welcome to hell by Colin Martin. And the damage done by Warren Fellows. Both page turners. I must check out Billy's books sometime. 📚

Jesus, that description of jail in Bangkok is full on. Such a juxtaposition to the flashy Bangkok skyline picture behind the interviewer. Note to self, never get in the shit in Thailand.

Cheers mate, Thai prisons sound absolutely brutal. There’s easily another episode with Billy in the future to cover more of what it was like in a Thai prison
