I literally just posted the same thing! Let’s take the loss, sit all starters. I still think we can get the 1 seed, no way KC doesn’t lose at least one of its division games and a solid chance they lose to a team like Pittsburg or something. I’m not ruling them out, they find ways to win, but let’s face it, they’ve won on luck in 10/11 of their games this season. They already know they’re in the playoffs and almost certainly won’t do worse than a 3 seed, and we robbed them of their perfect season, so they have nothing to play for yet. Let’s just hope they lose twice and escape Detroit healthy. No point in risking it to maybe lose anyway despite being in line to do no worse than a 2 seed.

I felt that way after losing to them, but I don’t think so anymore. We will be virtually guaranteed to get home field advantage over them at this point, which helps big time. We also have the benefit of losing to them, which allows us to game plan better. I think that we felt like the only chance of us beating them was to muddy up the game and make it weird last time. It got weird, but the Bills totally collapse under weird. This times we’ll have a much better game plan, as it’s easier to go back to the drawing board after a loss than after a win. Ravens will try to do the same thing, by basically just running all over the Bills. This time, however, everybody eats has developed, had time to scheme better, seen how every team has just bullied the Ravens secondary, and we have some reinforcements. Cooper, Hollins, Samuel, David, and Johnson especially have really started clicking in this offense, and I don’t think Baltimore will be able to stop them. Defensively, we will also have Rapp, Miller, Johnson, and Milano back, plus some extra reinforcements and a better scheme for countering Henry and Jackson. The teams that scare me the most are the Lions (let’s just sit our starters rather than get into a slug fight which probably won’t effect seedings), the Bengals (who probably aren’t getting into the playoffs), the Dolphins (sweeping them for all three games seems damn near impossible, plus they’ve been playing really well), and Kansas City. We need to defeat them once and for all, and until we hoist a Lombardi, they will be troublesome, for the simple fact that there is absolutely no rule that we have to beat them. Bills fans should know from four strait Super Bowl losses that four almost strait playoff losses despite all odds is possible. We can and should do it, but you never know with those bastards.

Joe, I'm far more scared about Baltimore coming to town than going to KC. KC isn't invincible and they're going to eventually drop a game in Arrowhead to Buffalo. We always play them close and if we get a lucky bounce this time, we can finally put them away. Baltimore is terrifying. Styles make fights and I don't know how we stop Baltimore's run game, even if we sit in a 4-3 D with Milano/Bernard/Williams as a heavier personel. That game does not matter where it is played, Baltimore has the potential to just run us off the field.

I said the exact same thing last year. I never will again. We have a double advantage over Baltimore. We have the advantage of almost certainly playing at home, which makes a huge difference. We also have the advantage in game planning. We know what we did wrong last time, and can scheme to fix it. We have reinforcements on both sides of the ball and will hopefully be fully healthy and available this time around. The way to stop Henry and Jackson is to utilize a Terrel Bernard and Matt Milano combo. Two fantastic elite linebackers in tandem will be fantastic. Look how well Bernard did against Mahomes, spying and shutting him down on several big plays. Imagine Bernard and Milano switching off on who takes Henry and Jackson, breaking through on some run blitzes and, if nothing else, at least slowing down the run. We don’t have to fully stop it if we can score points, which I fully expect us to do. Everybody is eating much better now, and I fully expect us to feast on that newly exposed Baltimore secondary. Won’t be easy of course, but I have full faith in our ability to beat them. Our problem is that Kansas City is still Kansas City. They’ll be coming for us, they know how to beat us. We know how to beat them, and look like the better team, but that doesn’t matter. All it takes is some bad luck to lose that game, something Kansas City always gets. Let’s face it, we’re going to play them, I just want it to be after a first round bye and easy game in the divisional round, play them at home in the AFC Championship game. We can do it!

@@menglish126 Like he has the last four times in the regular season against KC? Sure, he's made mistakes, but it isn't him single handedly throwing the game away. He has learned from those mistakes, credit to him, and is a damn good defensive coach. Not a better coach available than McDermott. Losing to KC by a coin flip and a missed field goal isn't anywhere near what I would consider always messing up anyway. Besides, it was Brady's offensive play calling on that last set of downs which led to that decision anyway. I was disappointed with the play calls- we should've been playing like we were going to go for it on fourth down, and we didn't. Regardless, shit happens, we have and will continue to get better.

I do NOT want to play the Lions. Last time we played Detroit we lost Tre White on their lousy terf. I love the lions, hate the idea of playing them, worsened by the fact that every team who plays them loses and loses their next game as well, as they just get beaten up. Seriously, I’m not ruling KC out, but the odds of them not losing two games down the stretch seems less likely to me than the Bills not losing a player for the season in Detroit does. Let’s just sit all of our starters for that game, take the loss which, let’s face it, is likely to happen on Detroit’s home field anyway, and not risk losing our top players. We play everyone for the pats and jets, then do no worse than the two seed. I really want the one seed, don’t get me wrong, but I give us a 2-1 chance of getting it even if we lose to Detroit. Why risk it?

14-3 record should be enough to get the 1 seed. Chiefs lose 2 of their last 6 games. At Broncos, playing at Cleveland, vs Houston and at Pittsburgh in a span of 10 days is a tough ask. 2 brutal weather games on the road and a stumbling but still really talented Texans team plus a well disciplined chargers team that is better now than in years past. Think that means the Bills and Chiefs will end up with the same record and that means the Chiefs will either play Denver or Baltimore in the wildcard round.

The path to the SB this season will go through KC, The Bills had their chance last season at home and came up short 27-24.However, the Bill are a good team on the road and may have a chance to upset the Chiefs in KC if they meet.
