Defense as a whole is by far the best we had in several years! The offense can be hit or miss but showing signs of everyone getting on the same page! Hopefully we just keep getting better and find a way to win GBO

I’m surprised that no one is talking more about the fact that Dylan Sampson being 2 TDs away from breaking the Vols all time rushing TD record. That’s a huge accomplishment and it’s been basically crickets from the entire media

The Defensive stats are just astounding - through 7 games have forced more turnovers than have allowed TDs.

McCoy is the truth yall. Gibson isnt far behind. The front 7 is a nightmare for QB and RB's. This whole D is legendary imo.

I feel a Tennessee hail Mary coming up. Dont know which game, but i have felt it for three weeks. And regarding D, it seems all the db transfers going out was a good overhaul. Tyler Barron missed a tackle for miami at Louisville last week that almost cost them the game. It went for a td. And concerning Florida....i wanna reserve judgement on that game till the end of the season. I think they are better than their projected record.

Hey Eric, I know it’s not twitter Tuesday, but jw with Squirrel unable to lift his right arm above his head the other day, why didn’t we rotate between Nimrod and Matthews? I love his commitment to the team, but feel like we would have had a better chance of some big plays with a WR that was 💯. That is if Nico hit them and didn’t over throw them of course. 100%, this is my biggest question at the moment for the entire team. Why is Squirrel starting over these younger highly-rated WRs? If we have tons of depth, then why aren't we acting like it? A middling WR with one arm should never ever ever start over a WR with two arms.

Nico just needs to keep gaining experience. He's only played eight games total. And Half of those are cupcakes. And receivers need to catch footballs. Starting to think our receivers coach is doing something wrong

Drops are considered "statistically random" events in football, and in D1 there's nothing you can really coach to improve on catching. We've just quite simply had bad luck so far.

Or broken Squirrel White! Heck, I'd rather have Nimrod over a one-armed Squirrel (who has dropped passes even when healthy). I've always thought Squirrel was overrated, he's just not a great WR and never was according to his 88 recruiting rankings.. I just don't know why we've always thought he was spectacular. Now, when it comes to Brazzle, that dude is a dawg and an untapped gem just waiting to come alive .. I want us to start hitting him more in 50/50 balls, he can jump out of the gym and gas great hands.

Both are sophomores (incredible, I know). McCoy will go pro at end of next season but I would doubt Gibson would.

Josh, I think if the team is talking about championships and national titles, we need to be. We have bene competing for this since 22. I sense you have a sense of the BVS lol. We need to have the Ricky Bobby mentality here. "If your not first, your last". You can never win championships if your not talking about it, and competing for it. If you are within 1 or 2 wins a season outside of playing for a SEC title or national championship, guess what? You ARE competing! Also, How much do you think Manning (or some of these earlier QBs) would have made had NIL been around? I get your point and I think we're constantly overhyping ourselves and creating false expectations...but you absolutely can say that the defense is elite. That's not even a question, the stats prove it out. We have a Top 4 defense in the league according to "Toral Defense" on ESPN, and thats with tougher opponents than the Team ranked #3 (NIU). So we effectively have a defense ranked #3 in nation...thats elite.
