Guys also be aware of the E bug. Once you hit your E after a fraction of a seconds, the marks will proc a second time. You can see it at 4:24 after the ult for example.

@@ramones1314 It's very hard to see but you get to tell it if you go frame by frame by watching Corki's HP you'll see that after the basic attack lands Corki's HP chips a second time after the basic attack and then if you watch the clip normally you notice that despite Varus hitting Corki with a 2nd auto, you only see 1 mark in Corki

It’s because some ADC’s have higher base HP and armor than some bruisers. I played Malphite vs Tristana mid and she had 805hp at lvl 1 with bone plating to my 705hp

I love this guy! He had the most interesting varus build I’ve ever seen and it makes for some crazy plays. I’ve seen him once play around with shurelya’s battle song too. I’ve tried this build whenever I can, and it works so well with his kit having a mini barrier to pop in the middle of the q+w charge up! Thanks for bring him some light!

yes and no this is what happens when you put too much damage into abilities especially max hp dmg its essentially another form of stat checking like darius psv or fiora psv and functions like aurora/vayne psv except it isn't gatekept by attack speed or ability haste if i'm being honest, a lot of riot's changes to varus simply don't work because i feel as if they don't understand how he works

I like to take hail of blades mid with varus. Walk up get 3 quick autos and then use E. Then ult them after to get another free 3 stacks on them for the W+Q finish.

Fighting this in top lane is even more frustrating when you're a melee champ who cannot close the gap without eating the insane %HP damage beforehand. You lose trades against him at all stages of the game, and when he builds resistances, it's night night for you and your lane.

The first clip is what I'd show to riot after the plans they released to nerf Qiyana in the upcoming patch. 5/1 Qiyana w/ Profane Hydra + Serrated dirk does a full combo + 1 wqaa rotation to a 1/2 Varus with a Locket and Sorc boots, Varus lives. Varus also does full combo + few autos, Qiyana dies.

Yeah, you know that a champion is completely out of tune when you see shit like this. Varus was supposed to be on the weaker side of the class matchup (assassin vs ADC), had less gold on him (Locket, Sorcs dagger and Doran's), got hit by a FULL combo from a fed assassin - and still ends up on top - all this without any mobility in his kit xD Whenever Garen/Darius/Olaf pull off shit like this Riot immediately nerfs theirs core items, nerfs base stats and nerfs a certain ability, then does a lore correction on the champion just to make sure they do not see the light of day. It is a hyperbole - but you get the message. This is not healthy for the game and I think it goes against Riot's current design philosophy.

Clever way to play Varus. His base numbers are (have always been) too high and locket will make opponents completely miscalculate their all in potential. We're seeing a problem across the board right now with ADCs who have too much utility and abilities that do too much damage. Why would you ever pick a mage like Xerath, when you can pick Varus who offers the same spell-based damage but then also auto-attacks for 5x as much.

I feel like we are now at the opposite of last season. Qiyana 5/1 item and half did everything good but still failed to kill the 1/2 inmobile Varus. I always complained that ADC had no counterplay to assassins, last year you were just some 300g running bag ready to be killed in 0,1sec no matter what, but now this is ridiculous.

Its not like the pick is good , but it has element of surprise when you play varus good . mages might struggle early vs him but scales way harder than a tank varus , assasins do not need to all in him , not gonna comment on talon cause every talon player is different , nafiri all in easily can one shot , all other assasin like quiana , zed , akali they dont really need to all in a tank champ .

wrong this build scales very well, if anything, he is weak right after he finished locket but also unkillable bcuz of it. just tried it out once u get like 2 ap items after locket u can win any 1v1 if u land ulti. my w q did 2000 dmg at 275ap to a 4k hp darius ☠☠ strong pick, u are a menace in any skirmish if ur ult is up (short cd)

Talon not being able to win lvl 3 trade vs varus is really stupid And I'm not talking about talon going in, not doing enough damage to kill and losing the extended trade to varus which is ok as varus is an adc and talon has skills on cooldown, the problem is talon not being able to match varus damage event at the moment he's doing his combo

math it a bit, it makes sense, talon q range = 80 dmg, talon w both land = 120 dmg, talon passive = 150 damage, talon auto = 70 damage (random numbers but im sure theyre close). thats like 50% of varus hp and he has no more burst after. talon cant 1 shot any champ at that level unless he gets an auto q auto in melee (what im saying is his power comes elsewhere, roaming, fight disruption, carry assassination when he gets items)
