This is just another example of what a class act the L-1011 was. Even this "food test" shows off what fantastic facilities she had! Fab.

I flew a lot in the 90s as kid the L1011 is the one that I remember being the most comfortable, smooth, spacious , yeah I was the kid walking back-and-forth through the aisles lol.

The beverage fountain on the first class beverage cart was awesome. I've never seen that on any airline in actual operation.

The hot tea and coffee pots just sat on top of the cart, just waiting to fall off during sudden turbulence. 😮

It sure sounded like Art Ballinger as the voice actor.
China ? Silver ? Crystal ? Actual Food ? Whole Turkey’s ? 8 Lb Rib Roast ? These days in 2023, even if in first class you’re lucky to get any food on a flight, especially a 90 minute one.

Returning unused food after the flight ? That idea never flew !

14:32 Wouldn’t be the 70s without a salad of hearts of lettuce with green goddess dressing … wonder if they got pineapple carrot jello mold infused with slivered almonds for dessert

I’m sure Ryanair carried out similar tests with frozen Lasagne for those that want it at 7am in the morning for €15…
@PalmBeachDog Жыл бұрын
That sure is a lot of labor and investment due to the fact that people can’t seem to go 90 min without a frozen dinner.

Well, at least the passenger’s ears didn’t get clogged and had to clear themselves.

@jack torrence ...and tristar's L-1011 resulted in a total of 539 fatalities by 2011. ....do you have a point? How does any of this apply to a subjective opinion?

Please explain in great depth and detail, why you feel this way. I need to know what you don't about the differences between the two designs, which pivoted your decision on this.😳🤔
