In an ambitious gamble, Bruce Ykanji (a prominent figure on the Popping scene), launched Juste Debout in 2002. The goal : Making Paris the worldwide centre for ‘standing’ dance forms, as opposed to the floor work embodied by the then-reigning king, Breakdance.

BTW Hurrikane, ...I see U rocking my country's flag. If you're Haitian, "What up Zoe!" "Sa k'ap fèt!" 👊🏿 I'm 1/2 Haitian (Mother from Haiti & father from Martinique). Universal langue spoken at home is French but I do speak creole as well. Just proud to see another man from my land doing his thing. Big up yourself! 👏🏾 Congrats on the win!
