I was the first to pick the F3D exterior side, so it is definitely packable but not at all easy. The F3D is a geared design. You will be dumbfounded when you research how it works. Glad you had fun and I wish I could have made it. Maybe next year.

So sorry, I couldn't make it to lockcon this year, but some friends who went, sent me some locks too. I really should've done a video on those locks too.

Cena in many Slavic languages means "price"... Edit - these were used in late 70s mostly in USSR. For different purposes, from cast-iron ones for separated garages to pot-metal ones for doors in school locker rooms.

Awesome collection 😁 have fun 👍👌🍻 CENA = PRICE (in all EX YU countries)

I have no locks with matrix bearings. And porosity is not a good thing for locks ... generally.

Just to remind any landlords watching, it's really, really illegal to use one of these blockers! Any 5g uncurtained lock should work for your demo, mate. Was good to catch up.
@sebastiannielsenАй бұрын
No, its not illegal for landlords to use. Its however illegal for the resident to use to prevent the landlords access. However, for unpaid rent its illegal to use these without explicit permission from a authority that has the right to seize the residents belongnings, as only law enforcement authorities are permitted to seize belongnings. (Unless you actually positively verify that theres no belongnings left or if the belongnings left are CLEARLY below the value of the unpaid rent, then you can use a lock blocker). In other cases, its permitted for the landlord to use a lock blocker. If there is service ongoing and landlord need undisturbed service, like, molding a new concrete floor or similiar, then a lockblocker can be used, usually from the inside so the resident cannot access from outside, and when concrete is harden, then lockblocker from outside. Another case a landlord may use a lock blocker is if there is some investigation or dispute or the apartment belongs to a deceased, and the apartment needs to be "sealed" so evidence or belongnings are untouched for the upcoming investigation/dispute.

LIPS is probably the oldest active Dutch lock brand. Lockwiki says they were founded in 1871.

I love that F3D. It's definitely pickable, but so so difficult. And your hands will hurt afterwards, at least mine did for almost a week

fichet lock looks weird i wonder why many locks havent changed like house locks into more secure ones ?
@scotts4125Ай бұрын
Locksmith here. Most people in fact almost never do they break in picking the lock. It's usually by brute force or someone leaving a window/door unlocked.
@motoe5devincent4383 күн бұрын
maybe because almost unpickable secure locks are really expensive ? This fichet 3D lock (cylinder only) costs 850€. But what the point of having a certified A2P *** lock (french certification, historically meaning about 5 minute of all-attacks resistance per * ; less now), if you don't have a certified door ? The entry level BP* door cost seems to be 2865€ (without VAT and without the cost of installation). The best fichet door BP *** is 5280€ (without VAT and so). Theses doors in France are not uncommon as an entry door for apartments. Sometimes in old buildings not made of concrete, the thieves go thought the wall as it's softer than the door... Also, fichet 3D is in the range of super expensive almost unpickable locks. Most people will only use high security locks like vachette radialis (also A2P***), but only 260€ for the cylinder. More pickable, but in real life, more likely by secret services than by a thief.

@@motoe5devincent438 ooof i guess its a price thing, also they can go through windows negating locks alltother too i suppose
