snark248 That's why you know you are listening to genuine rap. You'd be suprised in this world, the best people at anything aren't usually mainstream in anything. The best hackers, the best lyricist, pure-hearted people, diners...the list goes on. I'd happily see people stay to whom they are and still make it. That is when you know you are miles ahead of the others being able to put out the same level of consistent quality of whatever it may be they are giving out with the same amount of care and appreciation. I truly feel humbled to be able to listen to this kind of music it's truly marveling to see.

Aaron Nelson First of all, I never said he was miles ahead of everyone, I said he was miles ahead of every mainstream rapper at certain aspects of rap. Secondly, the fact that you think Eminem is the greatest "by a longshot" just makes me laugh, he was really good at one point, but his last two albums were complete shit and have ruined his career IMO. But even when he was in his prime, he wasn't the best, although he was up there.

Underrated doesn't even begin to describe locksmith. There are some brilliant lyricists on the scene with actual content of which locksmith is one of the best but they never seem to recieve the recognition they deserve, it's like people are too busy to engage their brain and actually listen to the lyrics, it saddens me some of the stuff that makes it big nowadays.
