i commend your dedication to making these; i replayed locoroco 1 for the first time in ages before playing 2 again and as much as i love both games; i did not have the patience for locoroco 1 to get to all 20 locoroco; nevermind 100% on each stage its still a great game id say; but compared to the second one the levels feel a lot less focused and feel like they have a lot more cruel level design in terms of missing something and being unable to go back; or platforming on tiny platforms. the second has multiple inscentives to return to levels so its not nearly as bad; but missing something in 1 and being unable to go back just make me wanna rush to the end and get to the next level rather than replay the level to try again

oh the second one is a massive improvement for sure, although i think without the first game's flaws the other entries wouldn't have been that great i guess it is at times cruel, especially considering how straight up unfair some parts are for no apparent reason, but id say it isn't as bad as you're saying here the only levels that were trouble in 100% the things were 3-4, 5-6 and all the chapo-wahr levels (not a fan, all are just way too frustrating in my eyes)

@@JasonHax honestly i dont remember a lot of the individual levels; the less focused nature and just general way more levels made some of them sorta blur together in my mind. it definitely does feel like they took what did and didnt work for the first into huge consideration with the sequel (midnight carnival does its own thing so its harder to compare but from what ive played so far its felt great too) i think my deal with not wanting to 100% them is just the lack of reason to wanna collect items; quite a lot of secrets in my memory just being small rooms with flowers; and just less variety between levels making them less interesting. i dont imagine itd be super painful to 100% but just a bit monotonous at times
