I've been bingin every video released, I'm trully amazed by both the quality of these productions as well as the engenuity/quality of the work done on the projects. I really wish my field of work aligned with Marti, seems like an amazing company to work at. Congratz!

Impressive work, this is how rail upgrades should be done, instead of shutting down traffic repeatedly for years.

Thank you for all your outstanding videos. I see the Easter block works seem a lot more "FRIENDLY" to filming them work, than the American Tunnel "HOGS" this is just amazing design of equipment and the workers knowing what they do.
I wonder how easy it will be to renovate all this concrete after 30 years.

Great video 2 questions was the air quality monitored was there an inspector checking for foreign material on the adjacent operational line
@philippjorda4671 Жыл бұрын
Howdy, as a friend of an SBB employee and a Swiss citizen I cannot give you a definitive answer, but I can give you some general information: 1. Air quality has to be monitored in every workplace in Switzerland where there is a risk of having polluted air. This is a rule made by the SUVA, (Schweizerische Unfallversicherungsanstalt = Swiss Accident Insurance Fund) so it probably was obligatory. 2. Depending on the construction Site, Safety precautions and how close your work is to the trains, they are only permitted to drive by with speeds between 40 to 80 km/h (~25mph to ~50mph). In the video it looks rather like the lower. In Switzerland this is a speed at which you can "drive by sight", so i guess the train driver could spot obstacles himself and break soon enough. (Sorry for the spelling, grammarly had a seizure) have a nice one!

It's kinda ironic to me that this takes them so long to do (and yes precision is for longevity) but then they have rails in Eastern Europe that are basically off roading for trains and they still work well enough...

how does the concreate absorb the vibrations?
@marvintpandroid2213 Жыл бұрын
The concrete doesn't, however there are rubber pads under the rail and the rail its self is laid to a very high level of accuracy as to prevent vibrations and shock loads.
@thebeautifulones5436 Жыл бұрын
Why didn't they just replace the rails? Do concrete sleepers sheltered in a tunnel degrade that much?
@theVtuberCh Жыл бұрын
The concrete sleepers get strained by the trains going over them. With each train the sleeper flexes a tiny amount. Over time cracks form and grow.

@ellesmerewildwood4858 Жыл бұрын
Though these people are exponentially smarter than I am, when all that new work reaches the end of it's service life, all that concrete is going to be a b*tch to remove. It's much easier to remove and replace ballast, especially in the cramped space inside the tunnel.
