Im a US size 8 as well but I purchased a 39. Also be careful when ordering. I found a great price on a pretty great color scheme ( a deep red) and ordered the 39 when it came it was too large, It was then that I realized I had ordered from the mens. Some colors are unisex, but make sure you are looking under women in the app description. When I went back to look I realized I had accidentally ordered the shoe under the men's header. you would think a 39 would be a 39 no matter what especially on a unisex shoe but alas it was way too large. But to answer your question, as a US 8 I purchased a 39, that fit me perfectly, but you may have too order two the 38 and the 39, and check how the shoe fits for you. Good luck.
