I actually used some clear sewing thread and looped it through the lowest puncture hole and then through the adjustment tab and tied a small knot. So far so good and no damage to any parts of the bag

If it helps. My hack has been working for me so far. Only slight downside is you see the tape when you look down at it.

I brought my strap to a professional leather repair shop. He stitched the strap closed almost to the end. The thread matched perfectly and the problem has been solved. I know I can’t adjust the length again, but I knew I would always want it on the shortest setting. Hope that helps and gives you another option!

@@sharelationHi! Yes, when I sent the bag for cleaning at my local store, I brought up.the issue and she said they could fix it. I had to leave it at the store for a few days. And it's been a year and the loop no longer moves about.
