LOEWE Spring Summer 2024 men’s runway collection

A study on perspective. On how points of view define perceptions and scales, and how perceptions and scales draw silhouettes. Dwarfed by Lynda Benglis’ gigantic, water-spouting fountains, attendees look at the catwalk from a wide angle, and from the bottom up, taken by a certain grandeur. At least, this is what the silhouette entices: legs are long, the waist is high, the bust becomes compact.

There was no need for the first 57 minutes of who's who. The focus should be on the wonderful designs using great fabrications and tailoring. Nothing gimmicky was needed like LV Men's this season. Loewe and Dior Homme get my $$$$.

Who the hell is going to wear a pillowcase with a giant pin covering the front of their chest that is backless. When fashion crumbles. Aside from the models, who has an impossible 22" waist? I will say that red pleather jumpsuit was 'everything' and there was a gray sweater with large tabs on the arms that was really unique.

The exaggeratedly high-wasted trousers look uncomfortable with the models' hands tucked inside the equally too-high-up front pockets, giving the impression that they're - comically so - holding them up lest they'd fall. But who'd want to do this all the time while walking around aside from these paid models?
