What you said twice about investing to grow what you have is SOOOOOOO IMPORTANT. It’s the most important thing you can tell a kid. Their are a lot of kids, i went through the same thing, that are living with their parents and not paying rent or are paying a little bit of rent and are working and spend all their money on garbage, like i did, because no one taught me how important it was to save your money and invest it. It could set you back years if you don’t know that, so if you ever do another one of those, emphasis it as much as possible. Make sure you let them know exactly how important it is. You did emphasize it, so props for that, but you gotta make sure they understand it 100 percent. Love the videos, almost at 2 million 🎉 keep it up.

This shit is so important, truly. Some people don’t learn from others and need to learn from their own mistakes. I am (was? Hopefully!) one of those people. I started making real money when I was 15, (LEGALLY) by real money I mean I could pay my Dad’s bills and house payment and stuff, nothing crazy. Grew up middle class then my Dad went full blown alchy and lit his savings and job on fire etc…he was a master electrician for the county making like 150K, but I was like 9-10 when he got bad so. But ya I was probably making a couple thousand a month or something, felt rich for a kid. I was never in to designer clothes or anything like that, but I definitely spent money on dumb stuff. If I truly had someone who was parenting me (mom passed when i was like 10 too, that was what caused his true spiral) it would’ve been different, I had nobody to actually teach me stuff. But who knows, maybe I would’ve still done p dumb stuff. I was more about spending $ on memories at least. Once I turned 17 I was making like 5-6K/mo (this was 10+ years ago and I grew up in MI, that was a ton of money) and I got a fake that said I was 18, looked too young to pass for 21 lmao. Traveled to the Bahamas, all over the US, (I played online poker, so I had friends all over through that) spent a lot of $ on like really good food, really nice places to stay, and I was always overly generous. Paid for a lot of ppls stuff especially when I was back home bc e1 was broke, pretty normal to be a broke 17-18yo. By 18-19 I was traveling all over Europe, lived in Cabo, lived in Vancouver, etc. I wish I had someone to just tell me such basic stuff about money, about the world in general, that just bc it’s from a doctor doesn’t mean it’s not an addictive drug, (smh) but instead I learned it all the very very hard way. I have great memories and some of those are priceless, but I’d happily swap out 80% of it to go back with any semblance of knowledge about the real world. It’s crazy to me they don’t teach anything in HS that’s about ACTUAL LIFE. Like finances, wtf a credit score is ya know. Also the DARE program anti drug stuff was so abysmal. They had us all in the auditorium and we watched this like 30 minute video that was FOR SURE about 20+ years old. It was so absurd, just straight up lies. The stories were SOOO fake, the info was so bad. If they actually said hey there’s kind of a huge pill thing going on right now, weed isn’t the devil, and no this 16yo didn’t go to the hood and just cold cop H without ever having done anything before…then shot up between his toes (bruh if you’re looking for a vein between your toes p sure you’re a junkie already, not the first place you go to locate a vein lol) and immediately died. Just been semi real with us, we would’ve listened. Or at least way more of us would’ve, bc 0% did. Sorry for the tangent. I doubt anyone will ever read this 😂 but ya it’s extremely important to tell these kids about material BS. I didn’t know ANYTHING about credit cards really until I was like 22, and I found out about HYSAs like 2-3 years ago. I got my grandma to take most of her $ out of this savings account that she never touched that was paying her .2% or something absurd and in to one that gives her 4-5% APR. I only pay with CCs now and get like 2-3% cash back, bonuses, (no debt, I pay them in full immediately) invest $ in 0 risk stuff that actually makes your $ make $, etc. It’s insane how financially illiterate everyone is, bc nobody taught us anything useful really. I won the spelling bee though! 🤦‍♂️

The fact that these teachers would bring in someone like Lofe to "inspire" these kids to be successful shows why they all have bad grades. This is the blind leading the blind. Instead of encouraging them to do the hard work needed to actually get a good career and make a contribution to society they are holding up youtube pranksters as the role models they should be looking to. Listening to Lofe lecture them on having the "discipline" to get where he is at is a joke. It doesn't take discipline to make a nuisance out of yourself and get trespassed everywhere you go. The reason they all look up to him is because they see the end goal is just to "get money", without any effort or making themselves useful in any way.

I do agree with pretty much everything you said; However, these kids aren't going to listen to just a random person, especially if they don't respect them or see them as "cool". When I was young I didn't care about who was speaking at things like this because I didn't know them, they were just a random person babbling about my future. You also have no way to know that the teachers haven't been encouraging them or not, and this seems almost as one of the last few resorts of doing so. Like I said though, I agree with everything else you said!
