Wow, this was the first video I saw from you. I’m new into my digitakt and I’m overwhelmed what you do ❤

This was awesome. Definitely more videos of voice over the music making process.

Thanks Mike! That's a real confidence boost 😊 I was feeling a bit self conscious wondering if people would care to just watch a random guy making music. So I'm happy to see that people are interested in it even if I'm not trying to teach something cool! ☺️

Awesome tutorial and some beautiful beats! Thanks so much! Would you consider making a similar type track with all the stock samples but showing all the “boring” parts (not really boring!)? Would be great to follow along step by step with each pattern. Thanks so much

Thanks so much! I really appreciate the feedback! I'd be more than happy to tackle some longer form videos without editing. The editing is the hardest part for me hahaha. I'll put this suggestion on my post of videos to make ☺️

I really like the loopcloud integration. Makes it easy to put collections together and organize samples in the DT.

Great video, even though im an "advanced" digitakt user, and have 4 diff samplers currently, you always can learn some tips&tricks from your videos, and as well just enjoy them!

Great video! Could you elaborate on how you created those glitches and what role the trigless trigs played there? Thank you

Thank you and nicely done! It's great to get the "feel good" you mention when we earn reaction to our efforts. For me, it may be half the reason I create with what I know....not music ....lol. 50% I enjoy for myself and 50% I enjoy sharing and guiding others. It's not always 50/50 ... from time to time the scale fluctuates. Could there be a modulator on my feels? rofl....sorry for being silly here 😊

you prefer making this sort of the thing on the digitakt? nice sounds. i love my digitakt and keep looking at the octa but i really think the digitakt sounds better and can get into these layers of manipulation possibly better? wish the digitakt handled longer loops better. guess you can’t have it all
@tinygregmusic
@tinygregmusic Жыл бұрын
When it comes to creatively chopping up loops I really think the Digitakt can't be beat. I love the Octatrack to bits but I would have to fight so hard to get similar results that I can get with werp and the other machines. It does make me sad that it can only handle mono samples but I can forgive that for the sheer creativity this thing brings out of me 😁 Having said that, I almost never finish a track without bringing it into the Octatrack to perform the stems. There's just too much beauty and they're too different even though they're both technically samplers 😅

great video man!! question.., would you recommend the DT to a beginner, it would be my first piece of gear I've purchased, I feel intimidated
@tinygregmusic
@tinygregmusic Жыл бұрын
Thanks buddy I really appreciate it! My first question to ask I guess would be "do you know what you want for a first piece of gear?". I guess what I mean is, do you want a sampler or a synth or something that can do both? The Digitakt is an awesome sampler and is very approachable, you can get up and running in minutes even without reading any manuals. My one and only gripe with it is that it can't handle stereo samples. I would say watch some videos of the Digitakt and maybe the Sp404 mkII. I don't own an SP404 (wish I did lol) but I know that a lot of people swear by it and it looks very very capable and is also cheaper than the Digitakt. Feel free to ask any more questions, I don't know if I've provided much valuable info in this one comment alone 😅

Haha, different strokes for different folks I guess. Although my workflow is a little unconventional, so others might get to where they want to go faster than I. Having said that, I would love to get my hands on the MC 707!
