To fix it the RIGHT WAY, this is what I did y’all. I went to my camera and took a photo with the FLASH ON, then reopened the flashlight button and it was working again!!😭😭💯

Updated my phone to 16.1.1 and now my flashlight and camera are no longer working. They were working fine before the update so I don't believe it's a physical issue. Tried restarting. Tried resetting. Still no luck. Any ideas?

There might be another way to use the flashlight I don’t know because I’m going to wait until after my birthday to install iOS 16 so I’m not sure if this idea will work but was thinking to go to settings Accesibility and to go down to back tap and then chose doible tap or triple tap your choice and then tap on flashlight then your back tap apple symbol can act as the on and off for your flashlight if that one isn’t grayed out too.

A few reasons ur flashlight may not work. •A glitch - Fix is to restart phone by holding power button until your prompted to restart (no data will be lost) •Problem with iphone - Either you go to Apple which most likely they will not repair it or buy a new phone ( u can also get it repaired by someone like a person who fixes phones. •Phone is way to hot - Let your phone cool down and then try using flashlight. For me some games like for example roblox doesn’t let me use flashlight while on it so make sure your not on any application. Hope this helped:))

None of this worked for me. I also did soft and hard reset. Before I was even able to do my software update I had to delete my email texts photos apps it was ridiculous and still I barely had any storage available but was able to do the update which did not help. My flashlight still does not work and my camera only works on 0.5 magnification so documents appear warped photos not always noticeable it depends on the photo. It’s all incredibly frustrating. My flash works when taking photos. I don’t know what else to do.
