You should not revert to your 5 year old self. I've always tried to be the best of my 5 year old self. I never judged anyone, I always worked at having fun. I did not worry about things. I did not want to go to sleep because I was afraid I'd miss something and I want to wake everyone up in the morning to do more cool stuff. I try to go from adolescence to senility, I just want to bypass maturity.

In the UK, we call this type of pulled hard candy "rock", and it often comes cut into pieces like it is here, however, the best stuff is the stick variety, which is usually about a foot long and as thick as a quarter. It's wrapped in a colourful hard candy shell (which indicates the flavour), and has a porous pulled hard taffy centre which is usually uncoloured and lightly flavoured, sometimes with writing or a design in a different color rolled into it. If it doesn't exist in america, it might be cool to give making some a shot - It's a really popular seaside treat over here!

Could all of those tiny shards of candy and colored dust that come off of the hard candy when the rods are hand cut on the anvil be gathered up after the process and also be sold but instead of "unicorn droppings" add candy sprinkles or edible "glitter" for cakes and cupcakes?

Yes and no regarding the sunflower direction - From wikipedia: In case of sunflower, a common misconception is that sunflower heads track the Sun across the sky. The uniform alignment of the flowers does result from heliotropism in an earlier development stage, the bud stage, before the appearance of flower heads. The buds are heliotropic until the end of the bud stage, and finally face east. The flower of the sunflower preserves the final orientation of the bud, thus keeping the mature flower facing east.
