Turning log cabin blocks different ways signifies different meanings, as fields and furrows of the newly plowed field, a directional arrow, and the sun and shadow. Join Eleanor as she builds the blocks into a finished quilt.

I like very much these videos of log cabins, & all the history included. There is nostalgia for the past, nearly shed a tear, perhaps it's the music. I will watch a again as really want to make a Log Cabin, which of the seven will be a decision later. Thank you and best wishes.

thanks Eleanor for the nice and easy log cabin book pattern that I am now making; I made a log cabin some time ago, the hard way, so enjoy - I took a class for you in Jacksonville at the Holiday Inn one weekend; such good fun and memories !

I love your log cabin book. It is excellent at showing all the possible layouts. It came highly recommended by my quilting teacher. I have made 2 so far and have a few more planned. As a beginner quilter I think this traditional and versatile block was a wonderful starting point for me :-)

I made a King 2 size Coverlet which is 36 blocks.. (6 across and 6 down) out of a pattern of yours and it came out square! 14 inch blocks 84 inches. That's not a King. Isn't the top to bottom suppose to be longer. I went by your pattern and did the Barn Raising. How can I fix this? with several border??? I have never did a Log Cabin like this. Please help me
