Knowing that this is the original log ride from Pixieland in Lincoln City, OR, it makes me happy to see that it's still operating. Being a kid in the early 70's, I wasn't treated to thrill rides and shitloads of movies and everything else that kids today are exposed to at an early age. Hell, I never even got to GO to Pixieland and ride this ride! We only ate at Pixie Kitchen every time we went to the coast. That in itself is good enough for me now, though. Good Pixie memories!

I took my 6 year old son to Lagoon yesterday and was fortunate enough to be an early bird coming in right at opening. We went to the Log Ride after 4 rides around Kiddie Land, before going into Pioneer Village. Ironically enough, there was no horrendous line to wait in. Apparently, the line is not a problem if ypu go there within the next hour. Of course my mentioning this could change that.

I always found it so strange that even though Arrow's main design studio and manufacturing plant was located in Utah from the 80's onward, they never once built an attraction for Lagoon. This, the only ride at Lagoon confirmed to have been made by Arrow, was ironically bought from another park (the now defunct Pixieland in Oregon to be precise).

I rode it when it was new at Pixieland, I'm guessing 1969 or '70, quite a thrill for a kid back then.

One time we went on this ride and it got stuck, and another time when I went with my friends my friend she dropped her phone in the water on her way out but hurry and got it before it sunk haha!

@aenickula123 where from like the station? if thats what your talking about no its stopped in the station by a device in the water that lifts out of the water and the bottom of the log gets stopped by it. then it goes back down to go. The current of the water flowing by the jets is what makes the log go.

I had a dream once of this exact ride.. I have been to lagoon so ya.. And I remember in my dream ROGHT as we got to the top my aunt was I front of me and I was behind her and the hill was to steep and rig as we went down my aunt flew out and died and after she flew out the log did like a flip from it being to steep and then we all died and then I remember looking at my dead body

i hate this ride because i know a little history about lagoon and the train they passed. those tracks were acually a railroad but the log flume or rattle snake rapids when they were buiting it they built right on the tracks so they closed down that railway and i like trains
