😊I still do that pre trip every day in the morning , fill my water tank every load , at the end of my day I idle her down to cool down the 3408 cat and then drain my air tanks and tuck my old 79 kw lw 924 to bed for the night 👍🏻💪🏻

My dad bought his first log truck in 1931.He was # 2 with his brother # 1 with Crown Z. in Clatsop County, Oregon. Shortly after Crown bought 60 company trucks. Spent many days in his old KW in the early 60s.Older brother sold his last truck in the mid 90s.From cheese blocks, trip stakes, to wide fixed stakes, boy have things changed. As a kid in the 60s ,one log loads were all you saw going through Seaside. No more

The wave of the trucker at the end got me thinking how these were all real folks. He probably went home to his wife and told her how a video camera was filming him at work that day. Unbeknownst to them that we'd be watching him go about his business in the year 2024.

yes, so true. funny how these video's span time and continents , what would one of those ol boys say if you told him in the 50's that someone in this day and age would be watching video's and sending messages over a "computer " haha

Thank you I for the great historical video. Back when some reaches were wood like at 20:48 also back when stop signs were yellow with black letters and center lines on roads and highways were white instead of yellow.

It makes no sense as the Vance creek bridge was Simpson I believe, but the old Railroad bridge in the beginning looks like it. I have only seen it from underneath down on the creek, but sure looks like it. Loving these old history vids Daniel Merry Christmas and God bless you and your family. Thanks for sharing!
