hello, official Spider-Man meatrider here, and while you did bring up some good points in this video, I would like to offer some counterpoints. Spider-Man's mission 1. It's unfair to lower Spidey's mission score just because he doesn't kill people. It's made clear in both the comics and the movies that he doesn't kill because he believes that there is good in all people, and that if they try, they don't HAVE to be a bad guy. He is taking the lesson of "with great power there must also come great responsibility" and trying to make these other people with god-like powers realize that as well. 2. With Spider-Man Far From Home, Peter's mission does start out as being assigned, but it changes after he learns the truth about mysterio. After he realizes that this person who he has revealed his secret identity to has access to technology which could danger not only his loved ones but HAS endangered and hurt many many others, it becomes a personal mission to try and stop mysterio and see if he can't change his outlook on things. 3. Yes, Peter did create the problem in Spider-Man No Way Home. But that was a mistake that he made, and making a mistake proves he's human. Character flaws are important in writing believable characters. MCU Peter's flaw in this film (or at least one of them), is that he is trying to live a perfect life where his close friends know he's Spider-Man without them being in danger, which is a bit delusional i will admit, but it makes him a believable character. 4. I agree that organic webbing is cooler than web shooters but that being the only reason you put Toby above Andrew and Tom is dumb. Logan's mission 1:This is just a nitpick but it also isn't made 100% clear in the story. The adamantium isn't what is making Logan weaker and less able to heal. It's said throughout the film that there is a new chemical being put in corn which can suppress the mutant gene, and what do we see Logan drinking through the film? Whiskey, which we all know is made from corn. Again, bit of a nitpick, but still 2: Yes, Logan was able to keep X-23 and the other mutant children alive, so he did succeed in his mission. But pointing out that TASM Peter failed to save Gwen is a bit of a low blow, because that's a character building moment which was Important for that version of Peter. And also, if we wanna get technical, MJ only "cheated" on Toby's Peter once, with harry. Peter specifically said at the end of Spider-Man 1 that he and MJ couldn't be together. Anyway I do mostly agree with you when it comes to Logan's mission, just being a bit nitpicky here. Spider-Man's powers 1. "a bit above average human strength" is just a straight up lie. If we wanna go just off the movies here, then how about we look at the scene where Peter is holding together. I couldn't find the exact weight but similar ships weigh between 7-8 thousand tons. So he is in that scene pulling together 4 thousand tons, with each hand. But since you were using a comic panel to showcase his "bit above average human strength", let me use a reference from the comics. In Peter Parker: Spider-Man number 98, Peter was able to support the full weight of the daily bugle, which is estimated to be 225 thousand tons. so yeah, give him a little more credit next time. 2. stop calling MJ a cheater man, or at least acknowledge when Spidey kissed Gwen Stacy right in front of MJ. Logan's powers 1. Logan isn't immortal. He just isn't. he has a very advanced healing factor which slows down his aging significantly, but in no way is he "immortal". He has died many times in the comics, and even in the movie you are referencing. 2. You don't even mention his adamantium skeleton, which is basically the whole reason he is suspected to be "immortal". Yes you mentioned the claws but that's a reach. Identity 1. Logan never tried to hide his secret identity, he didn't even come up with it. This might be me misremembering, but i'm pretty sure the he doesn't call himself "the wolverine" until the wolverine film. he always referred to himself as Logan. 2. If you wanted to give him points for his costume looking cool, wait until the costume section, which you already have waiting. You are artificially inflating his score Spider-Man's costume 1. I will agree that the Sam Rami suit does look amazing. But do you honestly believe that a teenager with no job was able to make it? the TASM 1 suit looks the most homemade out of any of the main Spider-Man costumes, so if you wanna give points for it being homemade, give it to TASM 1. Logan's costume 1. yeah i can't even argue with you it's an amazing costume. Conclusion From one marvel fan to another, and I say this in the most respectful way possible, you misunderstood a great deal about both characters while making this video. And if I'm being 100% honest with you, Movie Logan could probably kick Toby, Andrew AND Tom's Spider-Men's ass. I'm just here to provide a more fair argument for each of them. Again, no hate here, you're clearly passionate about Marvel and both of these characters, and you've earned yourself a sub. I honestly went into this ready to hate, but you're a pretty chill guy. Keep up the good work
