i worry about the same thing. If i had a surron at 15 i would not have handled it responsibly haha - luckily they’re all following traffic lights, stop signs, etc. and usually riding around 20-25mph.

Have you done any testing/specs on the stock E RIDE motor to know how much power it's actually rated for, or if it will melt/burn up with that new controller? Nice setup. I like the look of the Shinko 241's a lot.

thanks! no scientific testing, but I have heat protection to cut power if anything gets too warm. haven’t had any issues yet - i think other people at 20kw were heating up the stock battery without the motor having any issues

THIS WAS AWESOME!!! I wish that A. I had the money to buy one and B. that fully electric e motos were legal here in UK. For an e-bike to be LEGAL it has to be 250W or less and the battery has to provide only pedal assistance. Throttles are illegal. Oh well 🤷‍♂️, it’s not like I have the money anyway 😂.

Yo Logan turn up that field weakening to like 75 80% and ur top speed will go up even 100% won't hurt the bike

if you want something compact, eride pro ss could fit you just fine. a surron light bee might be a bit too small, but an ultra bee would be a good choice!

in your case i’d go with an e-ride. coming from dirt bikes the surron’s stock power might be not exciting enough right out of the box. E-ride is stupid fun stock

i think building a 72v razor is a really great place to start. it’s cheaper than a surron, easy to work on, and gets you super acquainted with your bike as you build it up

Razors are a lot of fun! I’ve built a couple using the E&C extreme kit. But the eride pro is so much more capable just because of the suspension. And I put after market forks and rear shock on my razors. If you can, get a big bike! You won’t regret it

40kw is quite a lot for any motor, so it would depend on how hard you push it! and i’m not 100% sure but i think it has the same mounts as a surron motor
