I have a dc and don’t like the drag on it. I caught a decent sized peacock bass and it took drag like nothing and it was set real tight. My Penn slammer 4 4000 has to be mt favorite. I have a 300k curado which I have yet to use

I've got a Shimano too and I love it I got it for free someone didn't need it anymore it's like a $250 reel it is my first Shimano and after the performance I'll never change to another brand Shimano for the win

we can tell you use only baitcasters with every cast being a side cast, load that rod tip up over head cast and sling it.

I got a JDM Stradic 2000. I love that thing. I also bought a Vanford 2000. Just to see which I prefer better. So far I'm leaning towards the Stradic. It's more of a "power" reel. It feels more natural in the heavier current of the Susquehanna and Chenango rivers. Not that there's anything wrong with the Vanford.

Interesting. In the C2000S size I like the 2020 VANFORD WAY better than my two Stradics! Smoother and so far it seems to be holding up much better. My Stradics are feeling rough, although it may just be that I need to clean the line rollers. I like the lighter Vanford. The Stradics are just too heavy, and since I'm fresh water ultra lite fishing with light rods, the whole lighter weight combo is much more enjoyable to fish with FOR ME. Performance wise, they are both pretty similar. Drags are both awesome and they cast equally well. The VAnford is noticably smoother and since it's lighter, I love it. The Vanford has more resistance turning, but I actually like that. It's loosened up over the past several months of use, and still smooth as silk!

Oh my Favorite spinning setup is my Dobyns 7’2” Medium fast Champion XP with a Vanford 3000. I like having the stronger drag with the 3000 one 2500

I love my two 1000 size Stradics, but honestly, I love my C2000S Vanford more. I got mine from Japan and my SUL rod from Japan also. In ultra lite fishing, I like the Vanford because of it's smoothness and lighter weight. Having said that, don't buy the 2024 Vanford. If you get one, wait for the next iteration of Vanford or try and find a 2020 model. I'm not going to get into the reasoning there, but if you search reviews on KZbin, you'll figure it out. That is a great rod and reel combo and a fun video! Thanks for sharing.

Cashion Customer service- 10/10. Great people, knowledgeable, and very nice and respectful. They make all their rods in the Carolina’s. Their kayak series rod line- 5/10. I lost some BIGGS in tournaments when it mattered the most and I can’t forgive them for that. Also their actions are weird (or maybe that’s what actions should be?) not sure but I ditched the whole line. Also wasn’t a fan of their guides, had 3 split on me. That’s more in one season than I have ever and I’m not hard on my stuff. Maybe I’ll give another series a try but definitely never going back to the kayak series.

Just because I don’t know much about Cashion rods, 8.5/10. The versatility is great, the looks of the rod and the reel clash a little is because I don’t like how the grips look. They might have performed well but it looks like Houndstooth and I’m an Auburn fan. But A+ on catching the fish!!

@LoganAndersonFishing im in Jersey and I use it for LMBs and for stripers at the Jersey shore. I throw the 5 inch magdraft with the stradic and with the sinking braid no need for a leader. It's hard to find people buy it in bulk though. The Seagur sinking braid is 🗑 on everything but BFS reels

@LoganAndersonFishing the rod I like the most isn't made anymore lol. But I look for a 30ton or higher modules carbon blank with the reel screw lock on the butt end of the rod. I have ark, 13 fishing rods in spinning. I actually am moving away from spinning to bfs setups though. My reels I like the most are a okuma and a piscifun that's discontinued. The aluminum frame spinning reel makes a huge difference imo, I'm looking at a upgrade to a shimano nasci though of I buy another spinning reel. One thing I've found is you dont need a super expensive spinning reel to have a really nice spinning reel unlike having to pay more to get the same quality in baitcast reels lol. I test budget lower med level gear so I have many brands lol.
