Loggers cut our 150 year old Walnut tree and it was BLUE Inside | This Sucks!

We had loggers come to our new property to cut a 150 year old Walnut tree, in hopes of making at least $1000 from the old tree. Also to have it removed because the tree was in the way of where we are building our new Shop House. The old Walnut was BLUE inside due to a nail that was driven in it when the tree was young.

The log is salvageable to some one with a bandsaw type of mill but you would not get paid for the log it can be sawed until they hit metal the blue doesn't affect the wood structurally. I have sawed lots of big oak logs with my circle sawmill and you cut in until you see the blue and turn it and try again I once sawed a 50 inch diameter red oak log it didn't show any blue and right in the middle of the log about 2 feet up I cut thru wire that was so old that it never dulled the saw teeth and I sold it all to a furniture maker it had blue spots where the wire was he thought that looked unique
