Logging in Norway ep.1

Join me on my logging adventure in Norway on the farm. we have about 80 hectares of Norway spruce, and alot of it is the age of forrestry!
This is only episode one of who knows how many we will need to finish this project, as i am mostly alone!

I’m a farmer in Illinois and do most of my cutting in the winter. I have an older new holland with no cab, but mostly I use a caterpillar MT545D (Agco with a Fendt CVT) with a front end loader with a thumb. I saw the first vid Jakob did with you. What’s the temp when you are in the trees in this video?

Way cool using New Holland, which series is it? In this video we had somewhat -15C° (5 degrees Fahrenheit)

Thank you for sharing - love the video! What forestry winch do you use with your tractor, I may have missed your mentioning it? I log in a similar fashion with a Farmi 35R. Also jealous of the snow you've got - I grew up in a snowy climate and miss it quite a bit.

I use a Igland 3601 from 88, it sits on a New Holland T5060. The snow is really helpful yes, though it comes and goes as it pleases.

What actually happens with the trees? Do you make firewood out of them, sell them to lumber yards, ... ?

Har ikkje porta nei, gjer det kun om ein amerikaner gjer det for meg 😅 Men har wcs eksos å foam filter. Det er ei heilt annan sag, spesielt med god filing.

Har alltid med to sager, så er man ikke helt ute å kjøre om en sag tuller. Eller setter sagen fast.

Er du fornøyd med den BMF vogna? jeg har en igland 450 med swingtrack. sabla greit på trange plasser. Den BMF vogna ser fin ut!

Ja, BMF har vist seg å var ei veldig god tømmervogn. Det kjem snart ein video av når eg brukar den på dette tømmeret. Der ser du når eg snur med den, så bare å følge med 😀
