Those growth rings are huge! I dropped an oak a few weeks ago, 32" in diameter, and it was over 120 years old. I can't imagine having trees that grow as quickly as those.

I have dropped some massive oaks and maples back in the days of my felling and even some today, but nothing like those ginormous spruce you guys were felling, that would be a blast! Any idea of how old those trees were? Thank you for sharing another great video with us Gordy!

It's crazy how fast these things grow. I've seen clear cuts of 8' diameter trees that were only 80 year old, second growth on the north Oregon coast where i hunt elk

@@spencerstockwell Uh, can you read... Appears you do not know what a wolf tree is... No, it does not "depend" on your area. Uh, buddy ol' pal, SPRUCE without limbs is HIGHLY valued. Spruce with limbs is junk regardless of where you live or where it is felled. In fact, limbless spruce is better $$$ than #2 Doug. In some instances it is better than #1 WRC.

Have you guys read project 2025 and how it lays out the guidelines for another trump term more specific logging regulations and the extra fees and tariffs on goods used by loggers ..and increased tax burden on workers of 11.78 percent over 2 years...costing workers millions in unpaid overtime eliminate the forty hoyr week and assume the 160 hour month ..vote as if feedimg your family matters ..it will under project ,2025
