Nice work. Good sized trees with a small saw. What is the plunge cut into the middle of the wedge for? I've not seen that down before.

Its used if the bar is to short or you have wood like Ash that will split very fast. In the middle of the three is the most tension, so if you cut the middle of the wedge, the wood wont split.

Hi, thanks very much for posting the video. Please could you tell me exactly what Stihl bar you've got on the 390SX in this clip and what mods you made to get it to work. Is this using an adapter? Any bar oiling considerations?

It's the bar from the Stihl MS200. You have just to drill the whole from the chain stretcher a little bigger/larger. Meanwhile you dont have to use Stihl bars. Premium-Motorsägenzubehör.de have some Tsumura bars that will fit the 390/501.

I'm not American. Where I live, no one want that kind from the tree. So its normal that we cut this way.
