Imagine going your whole life just wanting to be accepted, Literally being the nicest person and putting out some dope music occasionally to pay tribute to the goats like Nas & Big L, An enormous love for Hip hop culture just to have that world talk trash about you. Like I might not like all his music but dude nobody, Especially this dude right here deserves that. Idc what anyone says, No matter what logic does it will never be good enough to all these cats talking smack because if he spits bars it's "Just rapping over a beat" (When Cole does it "Oh he's spitting heat!") If he talks about anything real life it's "Just corny" (When Kendrick does it "He's bringing up alot of issues going on in this country) And if he does turn up music "He's not saying nothing tho" (If Drake does it "He's just having fun) Literally I've never seen an artist's lyrics get nit picked more than Logic's. Part of that i do think is cause before he blew up people were hyping him up as if he were to be Top 5 no doubt. Another part tho is cause he looks white. Parents were a mixed couple exactly like Cole or Drake's parents. If either of them two had been born with the same complexion as Logic, Y'all same cats hating wouldn't fw them as serious as you do right now either and that is the truth sadly.

I think it's because logic got hot while sounding like drake, Cole & Kendrick that the unnecessary hate followed him... Also, regarding your Cole & logic comparison, there's a huge difference between the 2. Cole's content has always been about growing up in the hood, going to college, his mom being on drugs, infidelity, imposter syndrome & more since his mixtape days. Logic has made songs that only show off his technical skills(rhyming just for rhyme sake) & that's where the word "corny" comes into play. Cole, on the other hand, shows off technical skill AND puts a message within the intricate rhyme schemes. Both are important. All the greats have done it. Logic has said some really important things before.... But he doesn't do it often enough.

Logic is human. That’s what I got from this interview. I also agree social media is definitely a problem, and I could go as far to say that it’s why our generation is always angry or sad. We constantly see the highlight reels of people lives and think that they’re doing so much better when it’s usually not the case. We also constantly see the evil in the world which all takes a toll on our brains. Not to mention the way these apps are developed they target parts of your brain. Take a one day break from Facebook and watch how many notifications you get. It’s kind of scary .. plus we have never been through this.

There is more to life than music, money, fame etc. Some people never get to that level of understanding. What is our purpose in life? Why are we here ? Our soul needs the connection to its creator, that is true happiness. Islam is the light. 1 God, Moses, Jesus n Muhammed r his prophets. Peace.

Let’s be real, all the unwarranted hate is huge in pushing him out. It became a meme to make fun of him and it fucked his wave up. I’m not a huge fan, but his music is undeniably good especially this last album and his earlier work. The internet’s a dumbass place full of sheep . Logic rapped his ass off for years before commercial attention and earned everything he got. Real hip hop heads that aren’t 15 know that. Happy retirement

I get Joe. I used to be not really into rap when I started listening to Logic. The more I got into Hip-hop and the more I listened to outkast, tribe called quest, Cole, Kanye etc. the more I realized how derivative Logic's music actually is. There are too many references and it feels like he is not a rapper, but a fan of rap taking many appealing aspects and creating music for a broader audience that isn't too much into rap either. If you are a kid like I was this music is cool, but when you've been in the game for 2 decades like Budden I can understand why Logic's music may feel gentrified to you and why you might be sick of this guy.

@@BluEx22329 But have you ever heard that a rapper wants to make the exact song his idol has already made? Kendrick grew out of his Wayne phase for example and only made one or two songs to pay respect. Logic listened to Kendrick's Alright and made "Everybody". He listened to Nas and made Young Sinatra, listened to Drake's Underground Kings and made "Numbers", listened to Outkast's "Elevators" and made GP4, listened to Kanye and made City of stars and stole lines from All Day and the Cold Winter album to make Keanu Reeves. I even dare to say none in the history of Hip-Hop made as many blatant references/"covers" as Logic. He is more of a fan of this music and less of an actual artist on his own. I don't blame him. The music is enjoyable, but it is still something worth mentioning/criticising. To Joe this music probably sounds even worse. Imagine growing up with the music of the 90s where originality is a MUST, where even Biggie got criticised for taking Nas' album cover and then listening to a guy who almost does covers of songs and gets praised as a top MC. I guess it would rub me a certain way too, no hard feelings
