Your videos on LOE are the best ones I've seen. They make me confident that I've chosen the best reading program for my kids for next year.

This is a wonderful video, thank you for sharing! I really like the LOE program, but was having second thoughts based on where my son is currently. Seeing this detailed video over C was so helpful. Also seeing how they extend the lessons in creative ways is impressive! Thank you!

Thank you! Level C is such a great level. It is packed full with so much, especially if you do the optional projects. I hope you have a great school year!

@@homeschoolpeace @Homeschool Peace Thank you!! First year homeschooling! I ordered Level B & C because I read that LOE recommends to start at B vs. jumping into the program through C. I'm glad that he'll get a review/get stronger with the phonograms, but I'm concerned because he's an advanced reader. The material for B is usually for Kinder I noticed. Any tips or advice on how to handle B for a reader? I don't want it to be so easy that he dreads lessons or isn't challenged. Thanks for the help!

@@josephinedipasupil6795 Great! You will have a great year!! You can go through B quickly and then slow down with C. When my son said the reading was too easy in B, I just told him how it is nice to have things that are easy, because there will be other school work that will be more challenging. I just had him quickly read through the readers. I would recommend going through the optional activities and extra writing projects. They have some ideas in the book to make things a little more challenging, for a student that is already reading. I also had my son reading books on his reading level to me, not related to LOE. I would just make sure to add additional reading at his level. Have a fantastic year!!

hello? when does grammar being introduced? did you have to supplement grammar?
@homeschoolpeace3 жыл бұрын
I have not had to supplement grammar. Grammar is built into the program. In levels B and C, the student is introduced to grammar concepts. They don't have to memorize the grammar rules yet, but they are going through grammar ideas with end marks with sentences, capitalizing letters, making lists, commas, e.t.c. During level D, you go deeper into grammar. There are 8 grammar rules you will teach, as well as more spelling rules. During level D, you'll want your student to really learn those grammar rules. As they finish D and go into Essentials (the next program), they will go even deeper into grammar. I hope that helps!

@@homeschoolpeace hi for the most part what grade level usually is B? C? D?
@jaclynalexander63114 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for this detailed walk through! I am a new homeschooler and would like to start my second graders in level C. Do you think level B is imperative to the success of level c?
@homeschoolpeace4 жыл бұрын
Hi! For second grade, you may want to look into the Logic of English Essentials program. Foundations is not a prerequisite for Essentials. Foundations is for students 4-7, while Essentials is 8 years old to adult. I do think it is important to go through at least the B level of Foundations, if using Foundations. Even so, I think Essentials would be a better fit. I am currently using Essentials 1-7 for my 2nd grader. He is doing really well with it! There are three spelling levels inside the same material of Essentials. I also really like the Essentials Reader program!

What grade level usually is C ?
@homeschoolpeace Жыл бұрын
Hi! When starting in LOE Foundations, you'll want to start first with either Foundations A or B. Level C is not an entry point for the program. Every kid is different, but since mine started with Foundations A in Pre K, they moved through the program with one level each school year. That made level C more around 1st grade. Here is an article from the LOE website that may help. support.logicofenglish.com/hc/en-us/articles/4581254166555-Foundations-Grade-Level If your student is older, and depending on where you start (level A or B), they may move faster through the levels. Here is another article that may help! support.logicofenglish.com/hc/en-us/articles/4598397256859-Typical-Pace-Through-Foundations I hope that helps! Thanks 😊
