Looking forward to a follow up on this, agreed, like a modular synth staring you right in the face!

Absolutely - lots more to explore! Thanks.

Really interesting. I need to think more about how I’d apply this. There is a fine art to getting something musical out of randomness. It’s really amazing to think that pattern sequencer can do much more than I realized. Merry Christmas and thanks for everything over 2024.

This is definitely an added benefit of having Logic. You really broke down not just how but also what is capable beyond what you demonstrated. Sparking the imagination. Speaking of the application to synths and referencing modular equivalents, we know you can create generative sounds and patterns within modular gear. In the Bitwig DAW, you go into the modular synth area and connect various aspects that cause it to generate sounds & their variations which is a step beyond randomization. I'm still new in the field of randomization which is great for creating ambient or drone style tracks. Can Logic generate as well so we can hit play and hear it not only become random, but also hear it morph sounds as it generates while remaining non-linear? I hope I'm explaining it correctly. I got so excited watching your clearly explained video that I had to respond right away! You are definitely a true teacher. There are great artists and creators out there but the ability to convey it with passion, excitement and in bites that anyone can follow...THAT is a gift. You do it well, sir. I will locate the Biwig video to share as a reference. Of course it's based on if you have time to review amongst your already busy schedule! Thank you in advance! So cool!

The delay time isn’t randomized in the video, it’s back and forth. Is that on purpose?
@jonobuchananmusic3 сағат бұрын
Hi Martin. Ah, probably just an oversight on my part! Hopefully the earlier parts of the video will show you how to Randomize the Delay Time lane if you'd like to try something similar.

Oh yeah, I’m gonna try this. Love the random movement it brings and the happy incidents that go with it. Thanks!
