I FEEL YOU.. but half or most of these producers don't buy them anyway... if you aint making money off your beats yet just torrent it then pay for it if you can afford it , I be damn if im gonna pay for a plug-in that's not really all that as ppl make it... i have omnisphere, so far it's ok but def not worth $500... better off getting nexus2
@RealMusicGenius6 жыл бұрын
Najay THECHOSEN1 sounds like you need to learn how to add third party sound banks, layer your sound using multi, or just learn what you have in general. Because you comparing Omnisphere to nexus shows me you depend on presets and not editing your sounds. No disrespect but don’t throw false information

The pencil tool also draws notes. The difference with the brush tool is that you can “paint” a whole sequence of notes, like a flurry of 16th notes, by brushing your mouse across the piano roll. Scale quantization is a really useful tool. If you are only a so-so piano player and you track a performance from a midi keyboard, the scale and time quantizers can really help. It’s also really helpful for creating harmony line ideas. If you play or draw your vocal melody out in midi/piano roll on a scratch track, you can then shift up and down to harmonizes that snap to your key to audition different harmony lines. Harmony ideas don’t always pop into my head automatically, so I really like to test and play around.

CJ, I've been watching you for almost a year, and I can honestly say that your videos have expedited my learning process by 1,000%. I've seen you use this technique multiple times, both in older videos as well as newer ones, and have witnessed you get better at it in a condensed amount of time simply because I'm late to the party. Everyone can hate on you for this one, but the numbers don't lie bro; I've heard other KZbinrs use your beats (for intros and background music) even before subscribing to you. Honestly one of the best. Keep doing what you're doing.

*Chord progression* tutorial. Did you just teach 74k people that a chord progression is a melody?
@jefftravilla5 жыл бұрын
T L haha I thought the same... at first I was all about harmonic minor for a randomized melody, but then he started plopping down random triads and I was like “yeah this gonna be rough.” You can pretty much only get away with random chord building slop in Major and natural minor. Even then, you’re gonna get a diminished chord once in a while that only will work in limited contexts. I’m a little confused by what the “secret” is supposed to be here. Is it the scale quantization?

Nice! i've used Logic for 14 years and never knew this lol, one thing i can suggest, and i'm sure you know this, but when you were lengthening the notes at the beginning and it was taking some guess work or some shuffling and reshuffling, why not cut the region in the arrange page at 1 bar, hold down option then drag the region to a 2 bar length? your notes are now double the length like you were trying to do one at a time only done in 3 seconds :)

You turned on scale quantize but however after setting your notes in place you did not quantize them. It doesn’t automatically do it as you click in or play notes. You have to select the notes played then press the quantize button, and you should see the notes shift after the fact.
@Bittamin2 жыл бұрын
