I want to know how the music video relates to the lyrics, if there isn't a killing spree video which shows how that apoclyptic scene was created, Im truley confused. Not trying to hate but its like every video is Bobby in front of the camera throwing his hands. I invisioned a completely different video in my head.

Jacko_ there's definitely more to it. I'm sure that if there was a killing spree video it would clarify more but in the video it did show a lot. Anywhere from crooked police to him throwing away the gun and preaching about peace. There's definitely more that I can't remember, that's just what sticks out.

My personal opinion on Everybody: the production was stellar. Most of the beats caught my attention immediately, and they set the tone (get it?) for the vibe that the song would give off (for example, Hallelujah was a feel good, jumpy beat). The concept of rapping through everyone's perspectives was unique, but the lyrics weren't executed as solidly as they should have been. If you listen to the songs on Everybody, you get the hint that a little bit of a "Bobby Tarantino" style is still in Logic's lyrics (a lot of hype - "get up, get up, get up" but not enough pure, raw delivery.) After comparing Everybody to his previous works, such as Under Pressure, Undeniable, and Welcome to Forever, Logic's lyrics have downgraded. His delivery isn't as emotional or as serious anymore. Logic went from "Some people call me Robert cuz I'm all about the diNero" to "I ain't ashamed to white, I ain't ashamed to be black." For everyone who says that Logic does not emphasize his biracial biology in this album, yes he does. He mentions it in majority of the songs. This is only my opinion, but I know that I, and other Young Sinatra fans (Are Bobby Soxers still a thing? Or has he forgotten his Young Sinatra persona?), that Bobby should return to his roots for his last album and give his fans the greatest, most effectively delivered fairwell of the rap history, or of Logic history. Peace.
@jonshukulli69447 жыл бұрын
Jona Cruz agreed but he when a fan made an instagram post wishing that logic would make a young sinatra album this was logics response in the comments and im gonna be paraphrasing. " Nah fuck that, its gonna be alot of singing and ballads with me playing the piano. Enjoy the past, embrace the new" and if u heard his new song he plays on tour its a purely vocal type song he doesnt rap at all its just him playing the piano and singing which I will say I really liked honestly he has alot of potential with this new sound
@570876dfh789thj78hf27 жыл бұрын
Logic talks about him being biracial because he is setting the tone for this whole concept album, EVERYBODY. This album is for the acceptance of all people no matter who they are. This album was also the realization that Logic does not have to put on a facade to be successful in Hip-Hip (like his Young Sinatra persona), all he wants to do is be himself, unashamed. People seem to have a problem with him always talking about him being biracial but it was a key factor in finding himself and accepting himself for who he is, which, again, sets of the tone for this album. I also agree that Logic had more lyricism in his previous works (Young Sinatra, Under Pressure, etc) and honestly i think Under Pressure is his best album of all time, but for other albums like The Incredible True Story and Everybody he tries to zone from this previous works and makes what he WANTS to make, not what he HAS to make. EVERYBODY is a simpler concept album where he talks about people accepting themselves for who they really are, and thats where Logic is now, rather than his Young Sinatra phase, where he felt like he had to put on a facade (put on chains, etc) to be “acceppted” by other people.

Yea, what you're describing is Logic being able to evolve as an artist. A skill that being a successful artist in pop culture REQUIRES. If we're gonna keep it real, "Confess", "Take It Back", "Black SpiderMan", and "AfricAryaN" are Logic career highlights. Also, delivery not as emotional?!? "Take It Back", "America", "Mos Definitely", "Anziety", "AfricAryaN"?!?!?

I wish he would’ve just rapped the final speech. We’ve heard the same shit many times on Under Pressure, as well as just the title track of everybody. I don’t think logic will ever understand how the viewer sees his music, because there are flaws that he can’t understand from our perspective. He always sees it as people are shitty if they don’t like the song talking about race. And I know there are racists out there, but like the black people chant on Mos definitely is simply just cringy . I agree with the message, but even black people probably don’t like that. And people don’t dislike take it back because it talks about race, but because we’ve heard that same thing from logic many times, and it’s extremely repetitive. And then half of the song isn’t a song. It takes away from replay value. There are things he just doesn’t get.

Jerad S. I'm a big Logic fan and really enjoy his entire catalogue, but I have to agree with you on this one. If Logic had rapped over the Take it Back beat for 6 minutes instead of the 2 minutes of rap and 4 minutes of talking, then I think it could have easily been one of his best songs. I think Logic is a good enough lyricist to be able to put those 4 minutes of talking into some great verses, and in the end it takes away from the replay value of the song and the album
@PaytonTYG7 жыл бұрын
Austin Fletcher takes nothing away from replay value for me, just can't bump it in the car or something like that but if I'm just vibing I'll play it
@chileboolin23957 жыл бұрын
Jerad S. Logic is straying further and further away from his old style of just spitting bars, and in general being a rapper, the speech gives more information on the meaning of the song, although it would have been better, he is telling his story in a way that is surface level easy to understand and to take in
