How did you plot 2 independent variable in a graph. Variable on y axis must be dependent isnt it?

This is a case of logistic regression with 2 dependent variables (features) and 1 independent (predictor). He graphed the 2 independend on x1 (x axis) and x2 9y axis) axis and the color/shape of what appears on the scatter. This is used a lot when you have 2 dependent variables.
