The keyboard is great for basic gaming, I've been using it for a few years now. BUT, nobody ever mentions that it wont light up at all unless you allow the software to connect to the internet every single time it starts. IMO that brings the rating way down. If you like to control what on your machine has free reign to call home, or if you just have an internet outtage, the software hangs up. There is absolutely no reason that a piece of hardware like a keyboard should need internet access just to function properly.

Kudos to you! Your review is far and away the best video review of any item I have seen! It is amazing that people will actually post a video, showing the arrival, cutting opening with a K-Bar knife, slowly peeling away plastic wrapping, and pointing out box labels with the point of a knife or wear surgical gloves while offering incredibly annoying background music, with ZERO information of the product. You did a splendid job of describing this item, its features, and rival comparisons. Very impressed. You should be hired by manufacturers to review their products. Great job! Critique... from an instructor, slow the pace of your dialogue just a hair. Awesome info to me as a consumer.

I do own this keyboard - and it is comfortable enough. With a family of 5 and a need for gaming keyboards for backups, this was a good choice. I keep headsets, keyboards and mice for backups. Currently only 39.00 on Amazon.
@kmmm5157 Жыл бұрын
Nice to know I am not the only one who does this. I keep various new headsets, keyboards, and mice for backup for a family of 3. I was able to buy this G213 new for a total of 12 dollars including tax, due to having some extra reward points. Its just going to stay in the box and saved just in case someone has a problem with their main keyboard. I'm guessing we may never use it as our main keyboards are very good. However, experience has taught me its good to have a variety of the 3 peripherals you mentioned (headsets, keyboards, mice) as backups for those rare times their is a problem. 🙂

I've had this keyboard for around a year now, maybe longer. Its alright, nothing crazy. It still works fine after being used almost daily. Not super bad for gaming, but don't like it as much as my other mechanical keyboard. Red Dragon also has great cheap keyboards that won't burn a hole in your pocket. I guess it all depends on what someone wants. Good video :)

Decent review. Had mine since it came out in 2017, bought coupled with the G403 Prodigy (very basic gaming mouse) for half off from new egg for $60. Have upgraded to the G502X now, was a good investment & haven't felt like I needed something better. WSAD, C & L-Shift are glossy & letters are worn now for about the last year from playing BF 2042. I'll be buying a new G213 open box from eBay for $24.99. I think it's funny when kids/grown men think they need the best of the best. Really how much better is Nvidia than a Radeon equivalent or mechanical than membrane that mimics mechanical? I think they're part cantaloupe imo.. Cheers!

There is 1 big advantage of this keyboard over other membrane keyboards - extremely low latency of only 0.8 ms. BTW its funny how you say it's for beginner players while I can be using this one or even a keyboard for $6 and still beat you at any FPS game 🙂What advantage will a $600 keyboard give you other than... well, what exactly? Better rgb customization? "Gaming performance" 🤣

Simple to understand explanations and demonstrations. However, even though ik you're displaying it's use in a game, you really shouldn't use m+kb for rocket league. Controller is far superior for a lot of players, but really I suppose it's opinion based. Controllers would have a lot more input delay compared to a keyboard, but that should be liveable.
