Logitech G413 Review VS Pro Tenkeyless and G810 (with sound tests)

I just bought the Silver (Best Buy) version of the G413 keyboard. I switched out the gaming keys with what they provided in the box. I don't know what a Romer key versus a Cherry whatever key is, but I LOVE this keyboard. It is significantly better than my previous keyboard and I find my FPS gameplay much improved as a result. Although I've only had this keyboard for a few days, I recommend it for basic gaming needs. Additionally, I don't know who Rocket Jump Ninja is, but I stumbled upon his KZbin this weekend and now I am a HUGE FAN of him and his reviews. I started gaming with Quake many years ago and was playing it when they ramped it up, but then I thought it died or something. Had no idea people were still playing it but it looks as awesome as I remember it (from 15+ years ago). Based upon Rocket's reviews this weekend, I picked up the Logitech G302 mouse for less than $20 US and am loving that choice as well. Major props to both Rocket Jump Ninja and Logitec for their exceptional quality!

Romer-G is pretty thunderous, not very ASMR-friendly.

Your reviews are the best. I just bought a G413 keyboard in carbon and a G203 mouse. A total of $85 for both is a fantastic deal compared to some keyboard and mice combos that can breach $200. I prefer MX browns, but the romer-g switch is very comparable to the browns, with the romers having a slightly softer feel, which for me is perfect for touch typing.

my experience is watch out for the space bar. It seems to be a weak point. The first one I bought, it would get 'stuck' every few sentences you type, and you'd have to pop it back into place properly. I exchanged it for a new one the next day and it seemed perfect. About an hour into use I felt the space bar 'click' slightly like the mounting was not 100%. One other thing is that echo or ringing that is well known in Logitech mechanical keyboards is very noticable with this model (more than the 610/810)

I had to return my G413 to store, just because of springs resonance sound when typing. That was main deal, but overall i like this keyboard - it's small, well made, and i like feeling of switches (but, not their sound, because of springs).

Agreed, RGB keyboards to some of the more practical guys like us provide no useful functionality. Their prices are inflated like $30-50 more which is ridiculous. This new G413 has such an attractive price point considering it has mechanical keys.

I would love a G413 with rgb. Im a big fan of rgb rainbow effects of keyboards, though if it doesnt have rgb, white is way better than other solid colours, since it is easier to pair with my other peripherals with rgb or coloured lights. I hope the carbon version gets a white backlight, but i'm alright with red leds.

Sometimes I fail to understand what people want from their hardware and their life. I mean, you are a person that wants all the RGB in his life, other guy says that he is fed up with all that RGB ripple/wave/sporadic color sposions and it's giving him some solid migraines... I wonder how did we manage to cope with games and office work back in 90's, when all RGB we could afford - was WinAmp plugin that made Num/Caps and Scroll Lock LEDs blink according to playing song?? P.S. No personal offense, my man, just general thought/rant.

I much prefer light linear switches like you. Just switched to a cherry mx red board from using a cherry mx brown for over a year, and wish I picked up the cherry mx red board because it feels so much smoother and less scratchy.

I went from browns to romar gs and I can confirm these kind of keys are best for coding, writing and gaming. IMO of course ^^. I mean both browns and romars btw.

Yes you do get advantage from those gaming keyboards because of the activation point and you dont need to bottom out the key.

So your favorite switch is still mx red with o-ring/mx silent? What about mx speed or razer yellow which should be exactly same like mx speed. It looks like mx speed are exactly same like mx red just with faster actuation or is there something else and thats why you still prefer reds? Mx speed with o-rings looks like best option to me.

Ok so ever since I have bought Logitech G413, I love using it for my games etc. After a few months use when cleaning the keyboard by removing all keys and brushing the keyboards, I saw some keycaps to be broken from the inside, not the switches, the key caps. Some white teeths of the keycaps are broken although they can work fine, I have a doubt they will start breaking soon. Recently when playing Valorant, I had no attention to my keyboard and I was pressing the keys hard, then the A key popped out. I was annoyed but then I just put it back in and kept playing. Is there anyway to fix this issue of breaking teeths of the key caps?

G810/910 is a garbage/bread crumbs/hair/dust magnet, you'll swear your soul out before you clean all that stuff outta it. In those terms G413 is a cleaning paradise, due to it's solid back plate and almost 100% trash resistance. Unless you pull off keycaps and intentionally put some dead cockroaches and flies inside of it.

I had originally picked up the Corsair K68 with Cherry red, but the icue software kept making my pc crash, so after a week of maybe thinking the problem was my mobo or proc, I returned the keyboard and picked up something without rgb, just in case that was the problem, too. I now have the g413, and it's totally fine and boring. I agree that I wish the black model had white lights. This was a keyboard of necessity, not desire. It does the job and is slim, and that's cool. It's red led's are really boring, but the keys feel fine to me. My only real complaint is that when I was attaching the secondary keys that come included with it, I really struggled to understand how the g Roamer keys attached back to the keyboard. Instead of standard 1-pin contact from the key cap, it's 4-point, and it was really goofy to deal with at first. Otherwise, it is a totally serviceable keyboard. All my other peripherals are Logitech G, so I guess having the keyboard in the family made sense, too, in regards to using only one software to power it all. This board was cheaper than the rgb k68, so at least I got some money back for all the trouble, and still ended up with a decent, albeit boring, keyboard.

I just wish they made these keyboards with cherry switches, specifically the 'Pro' variant. I'm too used to using Brown switches after using them for years. Really like the simple design but can't justify paying a huge price premium for unpopular, newer switches that don't have an Cherry MX stem for other keycaps. One of these bigger vendors REALLY needs to come out with a board that you can hotswap the switches on, like some smaller companies are doing.

Yeah but mech keyboards tend to last much longer than a cheap membrane, and you can swap out keycaps if they break in anyway, plus you can clean the board and caps thoroughly since the caps are removable.

The G413 is $50.00, but from what i saw, the G513 is around $159.00, and I don't see that much of a difference for me to pay an extra $100; I do play games like Overwatch so I thought that color profiles would be pretty cool for $75 G810 refurbished, but at the same time, I don't know if I really need it or if it's worth the money. I am starting to lean more away from the G Pro considering the price gap and that i couldn't find a refurbished model for a decent price either.

Both G413's look beautiful and seem like they are built really well but the Romer G switches are a deal breaker for me. I just love cherry MX Reds too much to give them up for a switch that seems to be mushy and feel more like a membrane keyboard than a mechanical one.

Have you given the Romer-G a fair shot? I personally like how quiet the Romer is in comparison to something like the MX Red. To each their own, but to me the Romer G feels like a mushier Red switch, which is fine for me. Don't just go around saying that a particular switch is bad because you don't like it...

got a lotta similar parts in my own PC. 6700k, Vengeance RAM, RM650x, BenQ 144hz monitor, Z170A pro gaming carbon and I did go for the 1080 gaming X instead of 1070 and the Dark Rock Pro 3 cause I like aircooling. Other than that seems about the same :)

tried both cause they are really in the same price range. I like romer g switches. 413 feels better for typing, however it is cheaply made compared with 810 plus the two cable is confusion and the board is without dedicated media keys. 810 is a better choice overall.

Funniest thing about G413 is that due to it's limited RGB possibilities people are eager to shit talk every aspect of that device, including the switches. However, same people will go absolutely bonkers and wet pussy lips when they talk about, for example G810, because you can finetune it's RGB to display Xmas eve lightning show, and will praise it's switches calling it the best in the world, that it puts Cherry ones in shame. Imagine their surprise and shock when they discover that both those keyboards use the very same Romer-G's...
