Not sure if I understand your question, but the keyboard always needs to be switched on, with or without the cable connected. If the switch is not on the on-position, the keyboard will be powered off and not function. There is no reason to ever turn it off though. Even via the lightspeed connection, the battery life is really good and I'm pretty sure it hardly uses any power if you don't actively use it.

@@r.s.chaitramI just wanted to use it wired because i like the low profile i dont want to turn in on everytime or use it wireless and charge it. Hopefully they make a wired version in the future.

@@LowkeyKubas You can use it wired. The keyboard will switch to wired mode if you connect the USB-cable and you won't need the dongle anymore. The powerswitch has to be turned on though. I have this keyboard and just tested whether it will work without the dongle. It does, so it definitely works via the cable. I think the keyboard is a bit too cheap to also bring out a wired mode. The design was aimed at the wireless option with the top bar I think, so I don't think they will release one. If you're looking for a good wired low profile keyboard with mechanical switches, check out the Keychron keyboards.
