+samdeur Long time since the question was asked, but anyway... K270 is only the keyboard "Wireless keyboard K270" and MK270 is Combo Mouse and Keyboard "Wireless Combo MK270". Google it ending the query with _"site:__support.logitech.com__"_ to get best results.

yah that was a long time a go..since then i moved away from rubber dome keyboards..i'm all in to mechanical keyboards from cherry mx-clears true topre switches hahaha..Different world all together..currently typing on my first real Topre board so not the CM storm nova touch but the Leopold FC660C and oh man..it's a game changer ..No more rubber dome for me..

GP are not unknown batteries at all :) actually they are pretty good batteries, they sit high there with the top batteries like panasonic, energizer etc.

Good set. I couldnt find this keyboard with US keys layout in my country. This one is the best. In Europe Logitech sells only UK keys type with short left Shift and tall Enter. MK 270 works very well with Panasonic ST60 plasmas tv.

Very useful to me. I've been meaning to buy MK270 Keyboard+Mouse. -- -- -- -- Right now it seems the only thing missing for me is the Num lock indicator, maybe I will be surprised to see it has one. I'll write back after I test it if I remember. -- -- -- -- In my country it costs 300 HRK, which is about 40 EUR or 44 USD. (Yeah, I know every technical gadget is a little bit more expensive in Croatia.)

Just a quick correction: This kit is not Bluetooth. It runs off of the 2.4 GHz frequency.

I also have the R version and my mouse has no lag, but the keyboard does seem to lag. I changed the dongle location to the front of my tower, so I am hoping that fixes the problem.

MK270r has unifying Receiver other has normal single channel receiver.

The keyboard is okay, with setpoint apps you can remap the extra button, but the mouse is far from good It is really light and doesnt look so tough. I recomend k270 and buy better logitech mouse with unify also, separately

Cut is CTRL+X, Copy is CTRL+C, and Paste is CTRL+V

Yeah, just press control with either hand and use those commands (I use tenths of commands, but those three are simple useful ones). You can memorize them soon enought so not to look, I did at 12 or so.

The new logitech logo are all in lowercase and even in their official website this specific keyboard combo has the logo in lowercase. BUT, I noticed this one has an uppercase L. So which one is original or genuine?

My HP wireless just went out recently after 3 years. I paid $38.00 for it 3 years ago so i pretty much got my money worth. Today our local Kmart has that model Logitech MK 270 for a clearance price of $16.00 and with my reward points it cost me $0.00 Soon the future will be solar powered keyboard and mouse. That is my prediction. I'm gonna work on that project and have it "patent" so no one will steal my idea.

+JBL “azsting64” G There are solar powered keyboards around. Mouse would be impractical as there is no place to put the solar panel on. The big problem with solar powered devices is that they don't get enough sunlight to power themselves. You don't often find yourself using a keyboard under direct sunlight. The light through the window isn't enough to charge such a keyboard, not to mention the monitor will often block the sunlight and the fact that not many people put their rig near the window anyway.

I recently bought 2 of these units and I must say I am NOT HAPPY! The keyboard goes into sleep mode within seconds of inactivity and it takes some waking up using the power switch, 1 2 3 buttons and even removing and replacing the batteries while the keyboard is switched on. I have returned the keyboards back to point of sale and with my refund I bought another brand that does not have anything to do with sleep mode. Logitech have known about this problem for quite a while, but they arrogantly refuse to do anything about it. Google has hundreds of pages from frustrated customers about logitech keyboard sleep mode.

Thx for the reply. one more thing , i couldn't find any info about the typing sound? For sum keyboards Logitech writes a comment on there site stating silent typing. But what about this model? For example for the K360 Logitech writes " whisper-quiet" . i don't want do bother people next to me while typing ;-)

+July I thought It would be unifying, but there are two versions of MK270. Ironically Wireless keyboard only K270 has a unifying wireless protocol (as detailed at support.logitech.com under "full specifications" under "Wireless Protocol"). -- -- -- -- However, Wireless Combo MK270 specifies Wireless Protocol "2.4 GHz (*Unifying*) / 2.4 GHz (*Advanced*)". Be careful if this is important to you. I bought one with "Advanced" protocol, and it says so on the box below "Logitech keyboard features" as "Logitech *Advanced* 2.4 GHz wireless". Logically, the Logitech Unifying Software doesn't detect unifying receiver and refuses to work. -- -- -- -- So, the devil is in the fine print. Read it all through.

By the looks of it those are your video/audio keys for when you're watching a video or listening to music. The first 4 keys represent play/pause, mute, volume up, and volume down. The 4 keys afterwards are shortcut keys. The Home key I believe takes you to your default web browser, the letter key should be for opening up your prefered email method, power pc button I believe for either turning your computer on and off or just putting it to sleep and waking it up, and the last one is what looks like a calculator to me so I believe it just opens up the calculator. I do not know positively what all of the keys do as I do not own the keyboard myself, but looking at the button symbols and trying to remember what I learned in my computer classes those are the conclusions I came to. Hopefully this helps or at least steers you in the right direction if you had questions about what those 8 buttons are but do not own the keyboard yourself yet.

Mark Tristan R. Ocampo You can copy and paste with the commands, trust me, you can do it in any keyboard and you can learn it easily. Press CTRL and X simultaneously to cut. Press CTRL and C simultaneously to copy. Press CTRL and V simultaneously to paste.
